He may need to read the writing on the wall, because NO ONE believes his stories. A Newsmax legal analyst delivered a sharp and stunning rebuke of the Trump administration this week, telling viewers of the right-wing network that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and anyone else involved in a controversial, deadly boat strike ought to be “prosecuted for a war crime.” Hegseth has faced intense scrutiny and criticism following a report that he ordered an unlawful no-survivors strike on a suspected drug boat in the Caribbean. Legal experts and ex-military lawyers have said such an order would constitute a war crime if the reports are accurate.
See? Newsmax is saying he has full responsibility, with Petey Boy throwing *himself* under the bus. That second strike is going to knock him over. Chain of command or no, there will be proof of his orders. That means it’s going to hammer on HIM. It’s bad enough that he started and has continued the assaults on motorboats of “narco terrorists”. Get outta here! A couple of motorboats.
Is he so full of himself that he thinks they will somehow make it up to America from the Caribbean in a small boat? Drug runners aren’t that “sloppy”. Anyone with half a brain could figure that out. (And Trump keeps looking for an excuse to invade Venezuela FNAR.) Other methods are much *less* risky. We are not at war with Venezuela, for heaven’s sake! There is no *reason* to be at war with them. There is no reason to be harassing them.
Newsmax’s judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano delivered a sobering assessment to viewers on the show National Report. “It gives me no pleasure to say what I’m about to say because I worked with Pete Hegseth for seven or eight years at Fox News. This is an act of a war crime,” he said. “Ordering survivors — who the law requires be rescued — instead to be murdered; there’s absolutely no legal basis for it.” Napolitano continued, “Everyone along the line who did it, from the Secretary of Defense to the admiral to the people who actually pulled the trigger, should be prosecuted for a war crime for killing these two people.”
That’s actually a concern for us. We don’t know if the battle group had a way to refuse Petey Boy’s orders. We don’t know the thinking behind these excessive, angering actions. We don’t know if people just went ahead and did it because they thought they were actually taking down drug smugglers. There’s so much we don’t know about the military side of it. And without knowing their thoughts, we can’t really even guess. Has anyone thought to calculate the *cost* of all this? That military stuff is expensive!

You got two people in the ocean clinging to a burning boat to stay alive, and they’re gonna be killed for self-defense? That doesn’t make any sense.”
This is getting pretty damn close to being equal with the economy and inflation, although it hasn’t reached them quite yet. It still comes back to “what’s the point”? Maybe it’s to prove to the world how tough we are, although it’s having the opposite effect. So we have a senile “president”, a yes-man (see: JD Vance), and a power-mad secretary of “war”. Our country is in bad enough shape already. We don’t need our military to be wasting their time (and money) on “narco terrorists”. And we certainly do not need to start a war. There are enough of those going on already, two of which we support, and it’s not the good guys.
