I swear to God, there are times when I feel like I stepped through some dimensional portal and I’m living in a simulacrum of life, a kind of Matrix-level reality, and the real world as I knew it for the sixty-plus years before the advent of Donald Trump is gone. It’s good that on Friday night, basically one week after the *shooting* of Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, that the issue of the bullet is actually being discussed. We heard Ronny Jackson claim, “the top of Trump’s ear was shot off,” which is so irresponsible a statement. We saw Trump standing there and his ear was in one piece. And we heard Eric Trump say the same thing about the top of Trump’s ear being gone, elaborating that “there were no stitches.” Now we’re hearing from an actual medical doctor with military experience on the issue of bullet wounds. It’s about time.
You heard the man. This is serious and indeed it is — if Trump got grazed by a bullet. Now I know that the broken glass theory was discounted by Snopes. So we’ll accept that. But I still wonder if Trump’s ear was actually hit by a bullet. If it was, then would some human being please explain to me why the attending physician at the ER in Pennsylvania simply can’t come out and specify that in a report? Why is there no medical report?
Because let’s face it, Trump is a liar. And the absence of a medical report is suspicious. And IF there was a possibility of shrapnel, a piece of the podium, the teleprompter, anything on the stage, hitting his ear, he would not share that, most likely. He would want to go for the high drama, that it was a “bullet.” And Melania went for the high drama, “the violent bullet that struck my husband.” So if, in fact, a bullet hit Trump, why can’t we have that stated in a report by the attending ER physician? Or, let’s hear if it was a piece of wood, shrapnel, plastic, pidgeon doo doo, what actually hit Trump’s ear?
This doctor here, Vin Gupta, is saying that this is a serious matter to be shot in the ear. We believe him. The public has a right to know, 108 days before the election, whether an already impaired Trump is possibly running for office when he’s potentially got some of the health issues — or might develop them — that Dr. Gupta is describing here.
As always, Trump is putting up a facade, because that’s all he is, is pure facade. Speaking of which, this old clip has been resurrected on Twitter. Do you remember this? It’s a classic.

Pure facade. Future generations will laugh at this because he is such a functionally illiterate buffoon. And the family enables him. This is who this man really is, this is who his family really is. And I find it intriguing that neither Melania nor ivanka had the stomach to get up at the RNC and give a speech about how wonderful Trump is or will be in a second term. Their silence speaks volumes, let’s put it that way.

He bailed us out of so much of the last administration and all we do less than 4 months to the next election is viciously kick him to the curb along with whatever that other political party is called now. I thought that abortion was illegal in this country and I guess that makes all of us democrats lawbreakers as we abort President Biden’s chances for a successful 2024 win. If trump wins we will deserve what we get for doing the worst support job ever. Of course, nobody will admit that what they did was wrong. What a difference a day makes, huh? The conversation has completely changed. But we STILL need to have a medical report, like we had when Reagan got shot. And Reagan actually was shot. He wrote, “The bullet that hit me bounced off a rib and lodged in my lung, an inch from my heart. It was a very close call. Twice they could not find my pulse.” The bullet was a .22 caliber.
Where is Trump’s bullet? Or woodchip or whatever the hell? That’s all anybody wants to know.
Well, as has been noted, the ER doctors are bound by HIPAA which won’t allow them to disclose so much as Trump was even in the ER. Trump is legally the only person who can say anything about his injury UNLESS he permits otherwise. The doctor who actually treated Trump can’t say a thing unless allowed by Trump. He can’t say “Oh, it was hardly even a scratch” without getting sued and potentially have his medical license pulled. Conversely, he can’t say “My God, it took us hours of work to just stop the bleeding so we could ascertain the amount of damage to his ear” without similarly risking his medical license. (And, as nauseating as it may be, even if Trump were the sitting President and an attempt had been made, the medical details of what happened could not be discussed without Trump’s say-so. The only thing that could be said would be “The President’s fine and in good spirits” until Trump called a press conference/rally and announced he’d been just seconds away from death and that he endured hours of surgery without so much as a bit of anesthesia, etc, etc. But how bad things actually might’ve been would/could never be released as long as Trump lives without his full consent.)
True but people do have eyes. They could see the “damage” to his ear, which was minuscule.
Hell, it was only his ear and it’s not as if he uses either of them.
There are more questions around this shooting than the one in Dallas sixty-one years ago. I would like to see a diagram of the stands showing where all the bullets ended up. Also, if a supersonic bullet hit his ear would it not have done more damage than we see in the pictures? Why did he email his donors right before the event telling them all hell would be breaking out at the rally? He said he planned to announce his VP pick. Why would that cause all hell to break out? At this point it is looking like this whole thing could have been staged. Remember the shooter used a gun range and could have been in contact with someone from Trump world there who wished to have Trump become a near martyr. However, I also think the shooter may have just wanted to be famous. Too, what is up with all the bombs? Worse than Dallas.
The shooting was staged. If his ear was “damaged”, it wasn’t from a bullet. If a bullet had hit any portion of his ear much of it would be gone. A ricocheting piece of glass might have resulted in the blood seen on his ear but so would a blood capsule used in movies.

Bullets from an AR-15 move at supersonic speeds. It’s far more likely that Trump was hit by debris — since four cops were slightly injured by debris and they were a few feet away from him.
His face looks scratched. I think that debris scratched his face and ear. But Trump can’t let that be the cover story. No, he needs to have survived an assassin’s bullet by dint of angelic assistance.
He’s milking this for all it’s worth. That stupid, oversized chunk of gauze on his ear is overkill. It’s slapped on his face like a steak over a black eye. At this point, a small bandage would suffice to keep the wound clean. He’ll probably wear that for the next 3 months.
It does generate some hilarious memes – like the one I recently saw that pointed out that some who made fun of us for wearing masks are now wearing a kotex on their heads.
