Oh, this is beautiful. A Republican forgot something before he turned to his staff with a statement. It’s wonderful because he asked the question that was likely on everyone’s mind. Why people can’t give a straight answer anymore is ridiculous. They keep trying to deflect. It’s gotten old. It’s gotten ridiculous. It’s gotten really, really annoying. With gratitude to Raw Story:
Sen. Chuck Grassley, 92, (R-IA), befuddled his colleagues on the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday when he was caught on a hot mic questioning some of the answers that witnesses were giving.
The committee met to question several of President Donald Trump’s judicial nominees, and some Democrats asked the nominees who won the 2020 general election.
There have been multiple hearings where Democrats have asked Trump judicial nominees the same question, and they have refused to say outright that former President Joe Biden won the election.
Gosh and golly, why not? Is it that they agree Biden won but couldn’t come right out and say so because Trump might withdraw their nominations? Hmmm, that’s a good question now, isn’t it? They want those lifetime positions, and won’t risk angering Trump, and not getting them. Therefore, they can’t answer the question outright. Interesting, no?
While Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) was asking a witness a question, Grassley turned to his staff and began discussing what he had heard without first turning off his microphone.
“What would be wrong if they said Biden won?” Grassley asked his staff.
The MeidasTouch Network posted on X that multiple people in the room heard Grassley’s comment. Blumenthal was also reportedly disturbed by the remarks, turning to look at Grassley during his questioning.
WHAM. There it is. From a Republican! What would be wrong? They just don’t want to admit it. That’s plain because everyone is dodging the question. They know Biden won, but as I said above, they can’t risk making Trump mad and losing the nomination. We’ve seen too much pussyfooting around the question for it to be anything else. No one has been able to say that Biden won. They want those jobs. They *really* want those jobs. So, they don’t answer. And that gives us “furiously to think”.
