Another spectacular example of doubling down. Actually Matt Gaetz may be doubling down and out. If hubris was currency, he would have more money than Jeff Bezos, but I don’t think hubris alone is going to get him out of the mess he’s in — unless maybe he knows something that we don’t?

I admit to complete flabbergastion, if that’s a word. Here, let’s take the poll:
- Matt Gaetz is certifiable;
- Matt Gaetz actually got a pardon from Trump;
- Joel Greenberg just died and we don’t know about it yet;
- The greatest day in Matt Gaetz’ life was when he saw Trump get away with “grab ’em by the pussy” and he thinks he’s going to do the same thing right now;
- Matt Gaetz knows of some scandal breaking that is going to eclipse his — heaven help us;

Remind me…how well did pardons work out for Roger Stone again? And has there been any evidence that a) the previous maladministration could write one of those to the level of a first year law student or b) Gaetz didn’t keep criming past the scope of whatever criming would be covered by such a pardon?
