Both Biden and Harris had rapid response accounts on Twit/X during the election and the Democratic party is going to have to figure out a good mobilization of actual information to counterbalance whatever political ambergris Trump is spewing on any given day. He just likes the sound of his own voice and he likes to make politics and economics (and healthcare and infrastructure, you name it) sound so bloody simple. If it was all that simple, then other politicians would have found the answers that Trump claims are just sitting there many years ago.

Last week on Meet The Press Trump said he “guaranteed nothing,” and on Thursday he said that, “When prices are high it’s hard to bring them down.” So the cultists waiting for a miracle at the grocery store starting in late January are going to be doing just that: waiting.

I feel especially bad for the Gen Zers, because they are very economically focused. They all want to get rich (not that other generations didn’t) but Gen Z thinks it takes about four to six times as much money to be “comfortable” as other generations before them. And enough of them voted for Trump believing he would change the economy — which he will, for his billionaire buddies. But not for them.

I don’t believe the Democratic Party will put the truth out there. They are already bending the knee. They are afraid of being on his “enemies” list. Geez, that moron felon is 3yo ffs. And I certainly do hope that the magats suffer. And suffer greatly because we tried to tell them!!! But it’s going to be tough without the programs we have to help us get by. And how can they take the “waste” they find in Social Security and put it into the general fund. It is OUR money and needs to be reinvested in SOCIAL SECURITY for the future, however short a future that is. The billionaires just want to destroy everything, pocket the money, give the felon his cut out on the golf course, and then walk away from the smoldering ashes. Maybe they’ll sell the pile of ashes to putin, or at least just let him have it. I really do not like what this country has become. The majority of these kids will be lucky to buy houses in later adulthood. Inflation is awful, so spending power is less and wages haven’t kept pace. If these kids are comparing their situations to Boomers, the contrast is pretty glaring. Thus my confusion about the quotes around comfortable …
Written with the usual Faw cogency. Right advice too: DNC must set up a TTT Team: Talk The Truth Team to instantly address every Trump/MAGA/Repugnant Lie. Establish the facts and disseminate everywhere: to media and every relevant group person as armour and talking points. No small task; probably no small team but take the offensive from Day 1 putting them on and keeping them on the back foot. Mock them and sap their confidence in what they are doing to reinforce the realisation that they’ve been had. No passive acceptance as before: “Aw shucks, you know what he’s like”.
