When did this become a thing? And the MAGA women “type” shown by those in Trump’s cabinet? It seems that we have reached a new low in our country, and I’ll be damned if anyone thinks I should follow it. This is creepy. From AlterNet:
Salon’s Amanda Marcotte has often stressed that many MAGA try to curry favor with President Donald Trump not only by aggressively promoting his policies, but also by altering their appearances and trying to look a certain way. “Mar-a-Lago face,” according to Marcotte, includes heavy, caked-on makeup, a lot of bronzer, a fake tan, full lips, and in some cases, plastic surgery. MAGA women often express their devotion to Trump with both their physical appearances and their combative defenses of his policies.
Yea no. Hell no. The makeup is easily achievable, but the body? You need a substantial amount of money for plastic surgery to do anything about that. Ick. And Trump’s policies? I think these rabid women try to outdo each other to prove who is the most loyal. Plus, the use of their positions is absolutely over the top. They are using them for other purposes, not for what they’re intended for. And don’t forget KKKaroline Leavitt with her fawning over Trump! Sheesh!

Having appointed more women to Cabinet-level positions than any other Republican president, Donald Trump now has a quartet of harpies fronting the (Trump) Administration’s most vicious bloodsports. Like middle-aged Manson girls, Pam Bondi, Tulsi Gabbard, Linda McMahon, and Kristi Noem take orders from a supremely nasty felon. But they have vile streaks all their own. The vileness blends their private and public actions in a filthy smoothie.”
Ouch. Virginia is telling it like it is, though. She has described these women to a T. Think of what they look like, and add in the actions, like Kristi Noem’s photoshoot in an El Salvador high-security, brutal prison. I damn near screamed when I found out about that. It was disgusting propaganda. The others aren’t any better. Pam Bondi has decided to open essentially a new Russia, Russia, Russia investigation. Why? That’s done and gone for literally years.
Like Marcotte, Heffernan points out that MAGA women are careful to look a certain way. The original Manson girls wore prairie dresses, shifts, and bare faces. Bondi, Gabbard, and Noem go for the trademark Trump-girl glam. But their cheugy hair and smeary MAGA makeup would just be a reprise of the (Hope)Hicks/(Kimberly) Guilfoyle lewk from Season 1, if their images weren’t now explicitly pressed into the service of so much disturbing political iconography…. Gabbard’s Instagram shows her thirstily clad in ammo — carrying the kind of assault rifle she used to oppose — at the Tactical Games, where ‘fitness meets firearms’…. MAGA makeup aside…. all of these women are wolfish.”
Heffernan adds, “When did Republican women, aged 44 to 76, become so savage? So proudly deviant?”
Yes, when did they? Are they trying to out-MAGA ALL the people in MAGA?? Are they trying to redirect folks from thinking about Epstein which, if anything, is more disgusting? (Redirect? Ha. It won’t happen for very long.) This is frightening. Women will keep track of any imagined slight. And they can drop their guardrails on a whim. What is going on? Does anyone know except them?
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, with the exception of one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. When it comes to Trump I’ve often made the association between him and Charlie Manson. I’ve even said that (not that he read the book but the concept used to be well known) if he had the chance Trump would cause what Manson tried and failed to do – make ‘Helter Skelter’ a reality. He’s making a concerted effort towards that end. It’s also made me think of a moment in the movie version of Flight of the Intruder. After reaming out Grafton, Commander Camparelli turns to his BN Tiger Cole and says ‘And as for YOU you maniac, you can lead the Manson gang now that Charlie’s in jail!’ (the movie is set in the latter years of Vietnam)
