So more came out about the gentleman who set off the assorted flammables inside the Cybertruck in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas and it’s dark, dark stuff. The letters appear to be from a patriot who loved Trump – until you read them a couple times and then you can sense the madness underneath. I had to think about this for awhile before I could actually write anything about it. I just hope I can explain even some of it.
Fellow Servicemembers, Veterans, and all Americans,TIME TO WAKE UP! We are being led by weak and feckless leadership who only serve to enrich themselves. Military and vets move on DC starting now. Militias facilitate and augment this activity. Occupy every major road along fed buildings and the campus of fed buildings by the hundreds of thousands. Lock the highways around down with semis right after everybody gets in. Hold until the purge is complete.
Try peaceful means first, but be prepared to fight to get the Dems out of the fed government and military by any means necessary. They all must go and a hard reset must occur for our country to avoid collapse. -MSG Matt Livelsberger 18Z, 10th Special Forces Group
Oofffff. That sounds like a takeover by violence to me. Purge. That’s a descriptive word that cannot be misinterpreted. Be prepared to get the Dems out of the fed government and military by any means necessary. More violence. There’s a lot of Dems. And what will happen to them after the purge? That isn’t said but it implies a lot. Is this to lead to a dictatorship by Republicans in government? A hard reset – does that mean the government will change? And if so, how? What will we be looking at after the purge? Will they start going after ordinary people who are Democrats next? We have a lot of people in this country. Are they going to purge all the Dems in all the state governments next?
So, so many questions that really don’t have answers – at least not answers that we can find. I think I’m glad that this letter didn’t come out any way except law enforcement. There are far too many people who would jump at the chance to do what he said (Hello MAGA? Madness is calling), some of which are very well armed and very well trained, and that’s *outside* the armed forces. We met some of them on January 6 four years ago. That was horrifying enough.
Onto the next one. I’m only copying over bits and pieces due to the length of it. We are the United States of America, the best country people to ever exist! But right now we are terminally ill and headed toward collapse. We are crumbling because of a lack of self-respect, morales, and respect for others. Greed and gluttony has consumed us. The top 1% decided long ago they weren’t going to bring everyone else with them. You are cattle to them. But: Consider this last sunset of ‘24 and my actions the end of our sickness and a new chapter of health for our people. Rally around the Trump, Musk, Kennedy, and ride this wave to the highest hegemony for all Americans! We are second to no one. Now, those 2 statements conflict. Trump is part of the top 1%, as is Musk. I’m not sure about Kennedy. Yet we are supposed to rally around them. They respect no one but themselves. And others are cattle to them. How is this supposed to improve the country? How can we ride a wave with no respect?
We must move on from the culture of weakness and self-enrichment perpetuated by our senior political and military leaders. We are done with the blatant corruption. Our soldiers are done fighting wars without end states or clear objectives. This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence. What better way to get my point across than a stunt with fireworks and explosives? Again, see top 1% statement above. We are cattle to them. Yet Trump is coming into office. Self-enrichment? Yea that would describe Trump *and* Elon. We don’t have enough information on top military leaders to make any sort of statement. It’s frightening about how he’s right about only paying attention to spectacle and violence. That says a lot about the sad state of our country. But how does he know the military leaders are weak and prone to self-enrichment? We’ll never know the answer to that or any of the questions listed above. Or we may not ever know publicly. There have to be answers, right? But where?

And now, a very special message from our awesome boss:
Friends, I am forced to self-promote and ask you for money. We had a bad year compared with 2023 and the end of the year has been catastrophic. Traffic died on November 5. We are a small blog and completely self-supporting by ad revenue, donations, and subscriptions. If you can afford a monthly subscription that would help us out. If you can make a small donation, likewise. Our only goal is to stay in business and give you the best content we can generate. You are the wind beneath our wings. Thank you. Susan…actually he’s right about the 1%. Unfortunately the combination of PTSD and the fact THE LAW said its OK to LIE 24/7…pushed him on the wrong side. Before we judge him too harshly…remember he was a COMBAT solider, in TWO wars we shouldn’t have been in. One based on a LIE, and the other on bad policy. While we sat home checking phones, sleeping in our beds, there is no telling what he saw and experienced. I worked with Vietnam vets with PTSD…it’s a hell no one wants. To return home and never leave combat. By the way IF, with his training, he wanted to kill a lot of civilians…he could have EASILY done so. I ache for his little girl who will never know her daddy.
Well, like me you have experience providing mental health services and can look beyond the actual suicide to how this guy got to the point he did. You also know that people have to be willing to admit they need help and put in the work it takes to heal. Others can encourage them to seek help and stick with the process but that’s not always the case. Or sometimes people who care try but inadvertently make things worse. There is much we don’t know at this point.
However Susan has pointed out something powerful and important here. This guy had TWO competing thoughts/ideologies in his head. Complete opposites of each other and one was built on a MAGA type refusal to see the truth about the guy (Trump) he worshipped. Trump would haven given this solider the time of day unless it was an autoreply email thanking him for a donation. And Musk? He’s pissed because the guy chose one of those ugly cybertrucks to make his explosive suicide statement. Other than that he was nothing to Musk and never would have been.
It’s a dark world so many who have experienced what this man did so often inhabit when they come home, or try to. Sometimes they don’t make it out. Even when they do it’s only partially. They learn to carry on and live their lives but are haunted. I think of my dad who I would come to realize was haunted not as much by the grievous wounds he suffered in the skies over Europe on a bombing mission but by the results of what they did. And what I would figure out he might have been called upon to do in Japan. You know people of that generation who were the same. I gather your own father had lifelong effects that you didn’t realize he had until later on. In my case dad died in 1980 so we never got to sit and talk through some of that once I was better able to have that kind of discussion with him.
Hell, I’M haunted by THAT. The worst part of the MAGA virus is that it attacks human nature. None of us like admitting we were wrong, or worse suckered. I suspect part of what tortured this man to the point he did what he did was the conflict between his worship of and belief in Trump, yet being unable to accept Trump was not only part of the very elite class he despised but ONLY interested in helping himself and them. Not regular people. And Trump has been all too effective at providing a scapegoat. We’ll never know but I suspect that’s why he chose a visually specacular way to exit this world, yet made sure no one else was harmed in the process.
Yeah…it affected them. My five uncles, serving in both theaters, exhibited the range from rarely talking at all…to using alcohol…I guess to blot out memories. Same with my dad, prone to violent rages, eventually shot with his own gun, by the woman who loved him, in self defense. I was grown by then. My other uncle, an original green beret, kept going back to Nam, although he was wounded several times…echoes of Deer Hunter…none of them ever talked about any of it. Hell I didn’t even know my dad was a war vet until years after he died, when I saw the grave marker the military had sent my mom. Easy for civilians to pass judgement on these men. I accept I don’t have a clue, and don’t want one. No one who serves in combat gets away unscathed. No one.
What is so disturbing is in fact some of the military and law enforcement was among the J6 assailants. A very interesting, shocking, and important article published on 01-04-25 at Propublica written by Joshua Kaplan titled “The Militia and the Mole” details how the many militia groups continue to recruit from the military and law enforcement. So yes I have understanding and empathy for the many veterans who have PTSD just as I had the same feelings for my abused juveniles I worked with but still held them accountable for their actions.
Just because someone is in the military doesn’t protect them from our culture of nonstop propaganda. They recruit them because veterans are trained to face situations 99% of our civilians, not only have NO IDEA OF, but, judging from all the actions of the traitor in chief, don’t really give a rat’s ass about. This election has proven that. That is unless there’s a war to be fought.
