We have another tragedy in Minneapolis. On January 7 Renee Good was shot to death in her car and the cover story was that the car “hit” the ICE officer and he “suffered internal injuries.” Now today, 17 days later, we have a situation where a man was wrestled to the ground and shot eleven times. I’m quoting The Bulwark on the number of rounds fired. Here’s a video which is a jumble of bodies as the decedent is overpowered and thrown to the ground. You can hear background music and profanity from onlookers as gun shots ring out.

The man shot had his phone in his right hand. He apparently had a gun with him, but he had a permit for concealed carry, so he was not breaking the law. He was filmming ICE officers and that’s what incurred their wrath.

It’s not illegal to film an officer. It’s not illegal to carry a gun if you have a permit for concealed carry. In short, the dead man was doing nothing illegal. But now he’s dead. The video shows that he was ganged up on and thrown to the ground. Then he had multiple bullets shot into his body. He was a law abiding citizen, yet shot dead in the street in Minneapolis by trigger happy ICE animals with no respect for human life.

  1. I’m looking forward to the Second Amendment crowd bleating out their usual babble.

But of course, they’re all working for ICE.

They’ve become, themselves, the repressive government they vowed to overthrow.

    • Gun Rights Advocate: Rob Doar, an attorney and president of the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus, pointed out that the firearm the agent emerged with in the video matched the gun shown in photographs released by the Department of Homeland Security.
While the Department of Homeland Security claimed in a statement that the agent acted in self-defense after Pretti resisted efforts to disarm him, the video appears to show the weapon was removed by an agent before the shots were fired.
