None of us wanted to find this out today (or tomorrow). Our military did some shizzle that is absolutely outrageous. What is going on with our military? Why can’t they refuse bullsh!t runs like this against civilians? I would really, really like to know what the HELL is going on here! We are resembling any other country (hello, Pootie?) that tries to crush its enemy and only has that goal in mind. People don’t count. What am I missing here? Thanks to Raw Story:
President Donald Trump’s Pentagon chief triggered a deluge of backlash Thursday night after a report that American forces struck a civilian highway bridge near Tehran twice on Thursday as Iranian villagers gathered nearby to celebrate the final day of the Persian new year. A U.S. military official, speaking anonymously to The New York Times, confirmed American forces struck the B1 bridge twice, in what’s colloquially called a “double tap,” claiming it was a planned military supply route for Iran’s missile and drone forces.
Iran’s deputy governor of Alborz province flatly rejected the U.S. characterization, telling state media the bridge was not yet operational and that “there was absolutely no military activity on bridge B1.” The dead and wounded were reportedly villagers picnicking outdoors to mark a national holiday.
Let the screaming commence! Who gets hit with the war crime first? Can it be Petey? Or is it going to be a pilot, or their commander? Yes, that’s excessive, but an unfinished bridge and *civilians*??!!! That is so wrong in so many ways. It’s bullsh!t is what it is. Everyone is doing what they’re told. How do the Iranian people feel now after losing family and friends? Oh, right, this is the Trump administration. It doesn’t matter what they feel. Cruelty is the point.
The strikes drew immediate concern from legal experts. A former State Department lawyer who specialized in the law of armed conflict told the Times the bridge appeared to have been “targeted not to provide any military advantage but in the hopes of coercing Tehran and generating content.” Trump celebrated the strikes on Truth Social, posting a video of the blast and warning Iran to “MAKE A DEAL BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE, AND THERE IS NOTHING LEFT.” The bridge was part of a civilian highway project connecting Tehran to the Caspian Sea, regularly used for commerce and weekend travel.
Trump *celebrated??!!!! WTAF here! Killing people is not an occasion for celebration. They’re killing people over here already. (Will someone please send ICE/CBP goons overseas and see how tough they really are?) Killing civilians is not entertainment. Bombing a bridge, a civilian bridge, is excessive *once* and they did it twice! WHY??!!!!! Infrastructure is off limits unless they want to add in another war crime…

I am nearly incoherent with rage, even at oh dark hundred in the morning. This cannot continue! But then how do we stop it? Short of absconding with Petey Boy and gagging him so he can’t give any orders, I don’t see anything. I’ll get in touch with my Congress Critters, for sure. Our senator, who is up for re-election this year, is already outdoing Republicans in a red state. They should worry. He already is worrying, of course, but it’s looking decent for him. It’s not going to be a cakewalk for Republicans. But in the meantime, what has to happen to stop this sh!t??? What has our country become? Cruelty is the point.
