We probably already knew that. When you think of the culture and the regime of Iran, someone being gay in the hierarchy could not possibly be that way and survive. As was noted in the previous column, they hang homosexuals with cranes. Even his status wouldn’t have protected him, including from his father. It was all a fraud to amuse Trump and get back at Iran. Compliments to Raw Story:
Administration officials cooked up claims about Iran’s new leader that reportedly cracked up President Donald Trump. Three sources told the New York Post that intelligence indicates Mojtaba Khamenei might be gay, and they said the 79-year-old president laughed out loud when he was told about that possibility. But four sources told Zeteo those claims were fabricated by Trump administration officials and outside allies as a psychological operation against Iran.
You can bet Iran knows about this, too. It could very well have made Iran laugh, because they know better. It’s still a little embarrassing to be told it’s a fake. But the claim was dubious from the start. He has (had) a wife and children. He only has a few children left now, after his wife and a couple of his children were killed by a bomb, or rather, I think it was a bomb. I don’t have a good opinion of Iran, but I’m actually glad to find out it was a hoax. It was just a little too far out there to be real.
“The idea was to plant a public narrative about how U.S. intelligence agencies had classified information strongly indicating that Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei is gay and closeted,” Zeteo reported. “Under the regime in Tehran, LGBTQ Iranians are, of course, persecuted – and during Trump’s war on Iran, his administration has sought to sow discord, chaos, and division among the Iranian people and their government.”
“There is one issue, though: There is no intel, certainly no credible intel, indicating he’s gay. The idea was fabricated and pushed behind the scenes in the past several weeks by a cohort of Trump advisers, US government personnel, and MAGAworld associates,” the report added. Two people with knowledge of the matter and another two sources briefed on it told the outlet that the made-up claims have been amusing administration officials all month, and an administration official said one of their group chats is titled “gayatollah.”
At least they made the rumors believable, mostly. This is one of those where the longer you look at something, the less sense it makes. I wish I had thought that when I wrote my first column on this. But that one was about Trump laughing more than the rumors being spread. Still. I goofed. I need to do something about that. Additional research would be a start, except for this column.
“We wanted to [mess with the Iranians],” one of the knowledgeable sources told Zeteo. The White House did not respond to the outlet’s request for comment by late Thursday, but Trump spoke about the topic on Fox News shortly after Zeteo emailed with the request. “Well, they did say that, but I don’t know if it was only them,” Trump told Fox host Jesse Watters, who asked about the matter. “I think a lot of people are saying that, which puts him off to a bad start in that particular country.”
“Well, they did say that, but I don’t know if it was only them,” Trump told Fox host Jesse Watters, who asked about the matter. Trump then turned the topic of conversation to himself and started making false claims. “I did very well with the gay vote,” he said, inaccurately. “No Republican’s ever gotten the gay vote like I did.”
It should be quite something to see what Iran does in return. Expect something fascinating. Two can play at that game. The politics of both countries are worlds apart. Unfortunately, I can’t come up with anything good off the top of my head. If they go after his money and his image, they can certainly piss him off. We know how his Loose Lips respond to something like that. We call it ranting and raving. It’s entertaining. I wonder if Pootie has shown them how to hack social media.
See you tomorrow!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Leave it to the adolescent boys in Trump’s admin to come up with something as stupid and irrelevant as this Gayatollah bullshit, instead of trying to clean up the unholy mess Trump and his Epstein-distraction attacks on Iran have caused. I can hear their locker-room sniggers from here. I wonder how Scott Bessent feels about it …
Yep, one trick pony there. Obviously it didn’t work. We need to get OUT of this stupid, illegal war (and potential war crimes, including part 2 for Petey Boy since sinking all those small boats) and get back to our OWN business, which needs one helluva lot of help. We aren’t just bleeding money: that artery has been cut and it’s gushing money.
You noticed that Epstein is still in the news for something about every other day. The war did NOT work as a distraction, and it’s embarrassing!
Yes, I Am American And Donald Trump Does Not Speak For Me. I wish I could figure out where I saw that t shirt online.
Iran may have already responded to this. Do you think the items in Denis’ piece “Iran’s Message War Included Hitting Trump With A “Yo Momma” Insult” was their reply?
It certainly could have been, and my apologies for missing that. They aren’t going to stop there, either. I really hope we have some talented people on our side. If only this had happened 25 to 30 years ago.
Please tells your poor opinion of Iran, since you obviously lived there amongst them. For I have not.
Okay, I have not lived there. It’s the repressive society that gets me. I have done some research, although not a ton of it, and that specific thing is why I dislike Iran. I would not dare go to the country.
