This is getting entertaining. My BadA$$ Judge list keeps growing, not that I’m complaining. Yet another DoJ lawyer questioned, and she did not have an answer. They seem to be going down in flames more often than not. This case is a good one, and you’ll see why shortly. With respect for Raw Story:

A federal judge delivered an embarrassing response to a Department of Justice lawyer who was defending Trump from a lawsuit, according to a new report by Politico. The lawsuit stems from the firing of Maurene Comey, the daughter of the former FBI Director, who has been targeted by two Trump DOJ indictments. Maurene Comey was a DOJ prosecutor who had a key role in the criminal cases against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

We remember this, even though my time at Pz had not yet started. It came out of the blue with just a BS letter given to her, and *poof* she was unceremoniously fired. We still don’t have any answers, except that it might have been vindictive. We still don’t know. Nothing further seems to have come out of this, and it faded out in the news. Then, in September, her father was indicted on BS charges. Gee, do you think maybe Trump doesn’t like the Comey family? Ha.

She was fired last year via a letter that only cited the presidential powers outlined in Article II of the Constitution, according to previous reporting by Politico. During a pretrial hearing, DOJ lawyer Karen Lesperance defended Comey’s firing as legitimateeven if there were political motivations,” Politico reported. U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman asked what the limits of the president’s Article II power would be in that case, and asked if the president can fire people in order to have an “all-white executive branch? or all-black?” according to Politico.

Whoa. Going for the jugular, there. What a loaded, zinger of a question to throw at someone out of the blue. The judge had to have known the exact law to ask that sort of question. He beautifully blindsided her. We would feel sorry for her, except she’s part of the current DoJ. So, no. Research shows that Trump has some people of color in his cabinet. That was unexpected. Two of them are gone, both female, already. He predominantly has white males.

Lesperance stammered in response,” Politico reported. She then told the judge, “I can’t answer on behalf of the government.” According to Politico, Furman shot back, “You’re here representing the government.”

SCORCHED. Her hair blew back with that one. She *is* representing the government, so if she can’t answer a question, it reflects on the DoJ and then back onto the govt. Heh. Well, we know Trump hates losing lawsuits, and he may just lose this one. Then they’ll appeal, of *course*, and we will ride the merry-go-round again. Oyyyyy, something I just noticed. A little slow on the draw today. “Even if there were political motivations.” There were *blatant* political reasons. It’s obvious just from *how* she was fired. How can it be legitimate then? That is not a good enough reason. The judge knows it. Ms. Comey and her lawyer know it. The DoJ lawyer is having a very bad day. Aww.

That’s the judge in the picture up top. See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
