It must be interesting to make $7M a year to be a talking head on TV and live in a bubble. I certainly would not know. All I can do is observe Jake Tapper’s grifting greed continue to spiral out of control. Now we’re at the point where Lara Trump is openly gloating on Fox News about Tapper bending the knee to her. And of course he did it because he was pimping his book. And Lara Trump says as much. Tapper has beclowned himself pimping his book, his co-hosts on CNN all have had visibly pained expressions on their faces when they, too, were forced to pimp his book.
Jon Stewart quipped, “Are CNN hosts paid on commission? Is this like Girl Scout cookies, whoever sells the most copies of the book gets a Schwinn?” Tapper’s book had a lot of copies sold on pre-order, before the diagnosis of Joe Biden’s cancer was revealed to the nation. I don’t know what the sales have been since Biden’s announcement. In all events, here’s Lara gloating away to Laura Ingraham.

Yes, Jake, agree with the right-wing lunatics and tell them that they were right and the mainstream media was part of a coverup of Watergate proportions. Uh huh. Go ahead and fold like a lawn chair.
This is the lay of the land: We have a mentally unstable lunatic currently in office. That is our main concern and it should be the overriding one. Rehashing what Joe Biden might have done wrong is an exercise in futility at this point. And concocting a conspiracy theory, a palace intrigue, out of Biden’s smallest gaffes is a complete joke, and would be in poor taste if Biden wasn’t seriously ill with cancer.
But the combination of attacking Biden through this book, attacking the Democrats collaterally, and jumping on the MAGA bandwagon is tantamount to treason, in my book. I really have come to despise and loathe Jake Tapper. I personally will never watch him again. Whatever is coming out of his mouth will come out of somebody else’s mouth on another network on the same day. If it’s important, we’ll know about it without getting it from Jake Tapper.
We are at a unique time in American history where we have a demented, petty madman with autocratic tendencies making a mockery out of the presidency. Just in the past two days Trump pardoned a crooked cop and today he pardoned two grifting reality TV show hosts, surprise surprise.
THIS is the news that’s important. THIS is where the focus needs to be! Not on Joe Biden’s administration, which was successful and wracked up a number of accomplishments.
Jake Tapper screwed the pooch on this one. He is a loathesome human being. I don’t think he’s going to last at CNN and I hope he doesn’t. Maybe he can get a gig on Fox News. That’s where he belongs. And Joe and Mika can go to Fox with him. Mika Brzezinski, complimented the book for its “beautiful” writing, as well as its “great reporting,” according to the New York Times. If you don’t think she and Scarborough are salivating, hoping that MAGA will decide to love them, then you’re an even bigger fool than they are. They both showed their true colors right after the election with their lame pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago.
Whoever thought that democracy would simply get sold to the highest bidder one day? But materialism is an American trait, perhaps our worst, and money is king. And the truth is, that the high rollers like Tapper, Scarborough and Brzezinski are going to continue to roll high no matter who is in power. And that’s all they care about is staying in their own power slot on TV and making all the money they can. None of them care about America. They are all traitors. Tragic but true. I don’t have a crystal ball but I think it’s safe to say that this entire episode of Tapper’s life is not playing out the way he intended it, and these are all the reasons why this is blowing up for him.

It must suck to be at CNN these days and getting pushed to go out and hawk Tapper’s book. Having to look at him swimming in his cesspool, saying ‘come on in, the turds are almost all liquified!’ and realizing they have no choice if they want to keep their jobs.
What is it with these people? The minute they get any criticism, they turn maggat.
And of course the maggats welcome them into the fold and eventually turn on them.
Hope Jake ends up getting the Leon treatment.
