It’s always quiet before the other shoe drops. When this one drops, it’s going to make Thor’s hammer compare to Forrest Gump’s feather. Ivanka Trump abandoned her Twitter feed on January 19, her last day playing government. She posted a tweet on what a singular honor it was to work for Daddy and then she and Jared went off to buy a mansion on an island in Florida and do damage control to their reputations in the hope of rehabilitating their social standing with New York’s elite.
Don Jr., on the other hand, is busy tweeting away but on any other subject besides January 6. He’s got tweets up about everything from Nancy Pelosi running for another term as Speaker to border patrol issues. His focus is anywhere but on his text messages to Mark Meadows, which were revealed Monday night.
That leaves Eric, who has already come forward and said what we all knew, that the Trumps are a bunch of know-nothings and he seems to think that’s a badge of honor.
So where is Ivanka and more to the point, where are her texts from January 6? Enquiring minds want to know. And so at some point will the January 6 Committee. The Independent:
Calls have been issued for Ivanka Trump’s texts from January 6, the day of the insurrection, to be released after South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham revealed she was a conduit to then-President Donald Trump.
Texts handed over to the House panel investigating the Capitol riot by former Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows before he ceased his cooperation with the committee have revealed that Fox News hosts and Mr Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr texted Mr Meadows on January 6 urging him to get Mr Trump to call off his supporters and tell them to go home.
Mr Graham has said that he didn’t text with Mr Meadows on January 6, but told CNN’s Manu Raju that he spoke with Ivanka Trump and asked her to send a message to her father to “tell his people to leave”.
“I want to see what Jared and Ivanka were texting to Meadows,” Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson tweeted on Monday.
“So disappointed there were no texts read by the 1/6 committee from Ivanka begging her daddy to tell them to stop,” Twitter user Barbara Melmet wrote.
“Sounds like Ivanka’s phone records need to be subpoenaed if they haven’t already been. Who else reached POTUS through her?” Kevin Goebel added.
The Washington Post reported on 31 October that Mr Graham repeatedly called Ms Trump with suggestions for what Mr Trump should say to get his supporters to stand down.
“You need to get these people out of here,” Mr Graham told her. “This thing is going south. This is not good. You’re going to have to tell these people to stand down. Stand down.”
Interesting that Lindsey Graham knew to go to Ivanka. I wonder if her brother Don Jr. did as well, or if he only went to Mark Meadows, thinking that the chief of staff had more power? Junior could be that stupid.

Ivanka isn’t named in this batch, but that’s good news. It’s a well known strategy that criminal investigations start from the outside and move in. The bigger the fish, the longer prosecutors wait to fry it. Donald Trump is the leviathan that will be left for last.
Jared and Ivanka weren’t likely to ever get invited back to the Met Gala but after the full nature and extent of her involvement in the Capitol riot is known, they’ll be lucky to get memos about PTA potlucks.
Lock them up or lose the country’s respect for the law…it’s that goddamn simple.
I’ve said (and written) for years that Jared started prepping early on for the possibility of flipping on daddy-in-law if that’s what it would take to keep his own ass out of prison. Unlike the Trump’s, he knows what the visitor room in a federal pen looks like from visiting his own father, and wants NO part of being on the other side of the glass. For me (and again I’ve mentioned it before) the interesting question is whether and/or how much he’s drawn Wannabe Princess Ivanka into his machinations with his legal counsel over the years. Jared or Daddy? That’s a choice she might finally have to make. She’s tiptoed along the edge of the razor blade for a long time now, and so far the only “cut” has been her precious social standing among NYC’s elite powers-that-be in waiting. Ok, so that’s a big blow to someone like her. But nothing like the loss of wealth (NY State has it’s own version of RICO and it has real teeth) and even liberty she could suffer if she doesn’t flip on daddy. I’d dearly love to see her do so, even if it meant her not getting anything like what she deserves if only for how Trump himself would react to Ivanka of all people turning on him!
I would not shed any tears were Ivanka and that punk husband of hers went to jail.
I can see that reaction from Trump, even now, because he has ALWAYS based his friendships and close associates on loyalty to his stupidity and gross criminal actions, in spite of being dragged into legal battering rams along with Trump himself …
There has obviously been a LOT of hands-on contact and drooling of Trump to his daughter, he would not believe she could turn on him, her god of women users that likes younger girls and has always claimed he would date her if he could …
He has kept her on the pedestal of admiration and bragging rights, installing her into the White House for who knows what …
The mushroom clouds of nuclear explosions comes to mind … Trump stomping around until his drugs run out or cardio strain make the boso say and do REALLY stupid things …
It definitely has run the course, time for Trump to measure his new cell, without his cell phone …
