It was just a matter of time. People were laying odds on whether Trump would have the usual hubris to claim that he effected the ceasefire in the Middle East, or if he would simply wait to take office and let Joe Biden take his victory lap. I’m sure you know where the smart money placed their bets. Trump is utterly drunk on power right now. He completely believes that he can sell any line of bullshit to the American people and to the world. Wrong. Here’s what today’s farce looks like.

You see where we’re going with this. History is going to be rewritten, some of it in real time. Even though Trump has been out of office four years and during the entire time of the Israel-Gaza conflict, he’s going to take credit for its resolution. The gall is incredible. Simply beyond belief.

So it’s either a dumpster fire that they’re inheriting, or they’re taking credit for the achievements of the outgoing administration. Interesting, isn’t it? They can’t seem to figure out which way to play it, to say that they’re entering a burning building, basically, or everything’s coming up roses — and Donald and J.D. made it happen.

Bibi and Hamas are so afraid of Don-old that they immediately, upon hearing about his “landslide” (as in tons of crap and mud rolling down a mountain, creating destruction in its wake), saw no option but to agree to a ceasefire and hostage return.
