This is one of my favorite recurring features over at Lincoln Project. I sure hope they do one next week because this week has already been insane and this is only Tuesday night.

Let’s see how future episodes address the Boebert/Omar catfight and whether it is worse than the Greene/Mace skirmish. Let’s also see if Kevin McCarthy actually says or does anything to make things better. Marge Greene literally walked out on him today when they met and he said “Stop!” I guess that’s that.
In the bigger picture, unemployment is down to 4.6%, the lowest it has been since 1969. Isn’t that amazing? The economy added 531,000 jobs last month, a number so stunning that even Fox News couldn’t figure out how to put a negative spin on it.
The American Rescue Plan is restoring the nation’s social safety net. Joe Biden’s Child Tax Credit has created, “a profound economic and moral victory for the country,” in the words of Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
And everybody screams about the freaking gas prices but there’s good news there as well.
So every news anchor on every network practically needs smelling salts to come back from their fainting spells over high gas prices. Biden strategically releases oil reserves with other countries to drive prices down. It works.

It should be borne in mind that oil is a global issue.
In any event, that’s what’s been going on this past week, the Democrats have a unified government so governance is taking place and the Republican circus is still performing. Move along, nothing new to see here.
