Yes, we are less than one year into this crazy regime. Yes, it is a few weeks before Xmas and the *Peace President* is actually ordering a sovereign nation to cease all flights in its own airspace. Whut? That’s the case as of Saturday morning. Trump took to social media, as he always does to vent, and here’s the latest in American diplomacy, for all the world to gawk at and shake their collective head. NBC News:

President Donald Trump said Saturday morning that Venezuela’s airspace should be considered “closed” as he weighs military action against the South American nation.
“To all Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers, please consider THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA TO BE CLOSED IN ITS ENTIRETY,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
There was no immediate response from Venezuela, which maintains authority over its own airspace, to the post. Flight-tracking data appeared to show a handful of planes still above the country on Saturday morning.
A number of airlines began rerouting flights away from Venezuela’s airspace earlier this month, and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has issued a warning of “heightened military activity” in the area.
On Wednesday, Venezuela’s civil aviation authority stripped takeoff and landing rights from six commercial carriers it accused of “joining the actions of state terrorism promoted by the United States government and unilaterally suspending air commercial operations.”
On Thursday, Trump said the U.S. could “very soon” begin targeting alleged Venezuelan drug traffickers on land, expanding operations that have so far focused on vessels in the Caribbean Sea.
The Washington Post says that normal Venezuelans are bracing for a possible U.S. attack and they just wish that it would happen already.
“On Monday every street was empty,” said one woman, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of persecution. “On Wednesday, it was a normal country again. [The government of President Nicolás Maduro] are experts in playing with our emotions and downplaying any credible threat that could mean their end.”
“The uncertainty is killing me,” she added.
The Federal Aviation Administration last week warned airlines flying over Venezuela of a “potentially hazardous situation.” Several carriers paused scheduled flights. Maduro’s government advised them to keep flying.
Venezuela is waiting for the next shoe to drop and we have a deranged madman calling the shots.

Yes.
Not sure what “normal Venezuelans” means. I do know the dictator war criminal who wants to attack them is anything but. This could get very ugly, very fast, and the consequences will be laid at Congress’s feet for not reeling him in.
Time to watch again the movie masterpiece ‘Wag The Dog’.
