Trump is doing something entirely uncharacteristic. Tomorrow, he is making a trip to a place he has said he hates. This is coming right after his yearly physical. (Here we go with the height and weight again.) What on earth is going on? And who is he taking with him? This is decidedly strange. With respect to Raw Story:

President Donald Trump is set to make arare trip” on Wednesday to the secluded presidential retreat Camp David in Maryland, the timing of which fueled speculation among onlookers. “Trump Cabinet meetings are basically somewhere between a pep rally and a cult worship ceremony,” wrote writer and political analyst Arieh Kovler Tuesday in a social media post on X. “They’re completely devoid of content. So why move it to Camp David?”

Why, indeed. What is he doing that he needs them to come with him? Is he bringing them on the transport with him? Will the press get to go? One would think not, since this is a retreat. This is challenging to parse out. All we get are questions with no answers.

According to the Post, the “rare trip” to Camp David – the second such visit of his second term – will include all of the president’s top officials, including outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. The meeting comes amid the Trump administration’s ongoingand strainedpeace talks with Tehran, as well as directly after the president’s third hospital visit in 13 months.

Curioser and curioser. Again, his cabinet meetings rarely contain anything that’s actually new information. Everyone is stomping on the resistance. Heh, or trying to. Markwayne Mullin has a major fight on his hands with what ICE is doing. That’s another variable. The major battles are immigration and the illegal Iran forever war. The war that Hegseth wants to restart, and the unqualified people in the Middle East are working on a supposed peace treaty. Mullin wants to let ICE loose, you know he does. That’s exactly what Stephen Miller wants. But the biggest thing on Trump’s mind has to be Iran. It’s not going as well as he is insisting it is.

Ahead of Trump’s visit to Walter Reed, he unleashed flurry of social media posts, touching on subjects from former President Barack Obama to Fox News. The aging president, who’s due to turn 80 next month, has faced mounting questions as to the state of his health. “Trump dislikes Camp David, avoids it, so why now?” reads a social media post published by the polling firm Rasmussen Reports. “Could there be foreign visitors coming who want no White House image association?”

Now *that* is a question that needs to be answered. Research shows that previous presidents have done so. It’s supposed to be more lowkey and relaxing. So, we do have precedent for foreign dignitaries meeting at Camp David. Now, the question is who is coming and whether we will be told about it. Then again, Trump likes to blab. If he stays off Truth Social about this, we may not be told. Otherwise, Trump hates Camp David, but he’s going and bringing his ‘cabinet’ with him. We must furiously think, which is a mangling of Shakespeare if my memory serves me well. And, as usual, wait and see. *That* is getting tedious.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
