Lookey here, the Secretary of State just crawled out of the woodwork emerged from thoughtful analysis of the hostilities between Pakistan and India. And it makes perfect sense that he would show up right at this moment. Marco Rubio is the designated real politician, old school Republican, who is there so that the Fool In Charge can ask him what a real leader would do. Rubio is also now the acting head of the National Security Agency. It was reported by Axios last week that Stephen Miller was first in line to head the NSA but with the shit hitting the fan in India and Pakistan right now, that could be a catastrophic turn of events. But before we digress, here’s Rubio’s guidance.

“Hopefully this ends quickly.” Tell me that you don’t have the slightest idea how to deal with a situation without telling me you haven’t the slightest idea how to deal with a situation. Yes, sooner would be preferable to later, uh huh. We’re tracking you so far, Marco. By the way, have you had a chance to talk to anybody who’s left at the NSA to see if there is or was any intelligence on this matter before it all exploded a few hours ago? Or, have all our agents in the field quit and gone screaming into the night post SignalGate? Not that we would blame them.

Back to Stephen Miller, since we have a conflict between brown people at base here, I vehemently hope that Trump is not stupid enough to give him the NSA post. The last thing we need is Nosferatu’s holier than thou condescension in a conflict between two non-white nuclear powers. That is a recipe for utter catastrophe.

The message that Rubio just sent to the world is tepid at best. Trump probably asked Rubio to say something and Rubio has nothing to say and it shows. And have you heard from Pete Hegseth? Puh-leeze. Pete is hiding in the closet of his makeup studio and hoping that nobody asks him anything. If you see a guy with glasses and a large nose and obvious wig leave the Pentagon, that’s probably Hegseth in disguise.

We have no leadership. Government is only a TV show and a public relations exercise to a point. Government is only ceremonial to a point. There are other points, and they happen every single day, where you don’t need some figurehead out of central casting to mouth a soundbite, you need an actual leader with some experience to make a decision and square things away, so that the wheels of government can keep turning smoothly. We don’t have that. We have the talent pool at Fox News, plus sycophants and cronies like Pam Bondi and Elon Musk backing up the reality TV host.

The rest of the world knows that the United States is chaotic and toothless right now. Watch for Europe to lead. Watch for Canada to lead. Watch for other countries to resolve these matters as we take a back seat.

Right now America is in a state of paralysis. Where the international situation goes from here is anybody’s guess. And all the economic madness continues as well.

  1. You somehow think the last administration had good leadership?? I’ll take this administration’s leadership all day, and so will the majority of Americans.
You’ve got a problem with the brief statement made by the secretary of state. Why don’t you enlighten us with your vast knowledge of foreign policy Ursula & tell us what you would demand these two sovereign, nuclear powers should do.

    • First of all, a majority of Americans did NOT vote for Trump. Yes, he beat Harris by 1.5% but didn’t crack the 50% barrier. And when even Rassmussen polling says Trump’s approval has cratered and MAGAs in red towns are on camera where their neighbors and co-worker can see saying they regret voting for Trump you are flat-out wrong to say a majority of Americans support this. You may not know this but one of Ursula’s closest friends for years was a retired Marine General. Yeah, she talked some “shop” with him because like me and others she likes learning new stuff.

As for me, I was only an enlisted puke in the Corps but only because I was 26 when I tried to get into OCS and the Col. in command overrode the selection board’s recommendation for me (and another guy, a former jarhead who left as a Sgt., got a Bachelor’s and Masters with a 4.0 grade average and had a perfect 300 on his PFT) due to age. However I was a student of history long before then, and picked a lot of brains including those of people from my alma mater which had a large international community back then. Oh, and I have a cousin who met his wife in Nepal when he was there during his stint in the Peace Corps, and he later joined the State Dept. He didn’t’ have a posting in either India or Pakistan but had postings in Asia so he was up on things. And with his wife’s family still keeps an ear to the ground. We’ve talked about that troubled area of Kashir over the years. Especially about the thousand pound gorilla that almost always gets overlooked when things flare up between India and Pakistan. CHINA feels IT has a claim over that area.

If the other two start popping nukes the world is headed for grief worse than our most awful nightmares because China won’t sit idly by. THEY have a vested interest in keeping things from getting out of hand and our current crop of incompetent leaders, like most Americans realize this gives China a golden opportunity to establish even MORE influence in Asia and the Pacific!

Biden knew all this, as did his team and we’d have had a high level person over there since that round of terrorist attacks a couple of weeks ago because people who (unlike Trump) actually know shit knew there’d be a response. And that it likely wouldn’t stop there without some heavy diplomatic lifting. That means Rubios ass should be on a plane over there right freaking now. I’ll guarantee you China has top people in both India and Pakistan and they, and everyone else will be asking “Where is the United States?”

If you’re going to try and be snarky you should actually bring some “game” to the table. However as usual you’ve got nothing.

      • Spare us your long winded pseudo intellectual bs Denis. I don’t care about
how many people you may know in Asia. I was merely commenting on a junk piece that is of course just critical of the Trump administration (in a new & developing situation) yet offering no tangible solutions of her own.
Your continuing defense of joe biden is mind boggling.

  2. Well Mark, since you are a bloating right wing gasbag I assume it’s safe to say we won’t be asking you for advice!

    • OTOH, we can probably expect Drumpf and “Anchor Baby” Rubio to be picking his brain (well, whatever the zombies left).
