It’s about damn time someone clobbered her for something. The DOJ is supposed to be non-partisan. Nothing could be further from the truth. She is quite happy to use (weaponize) them to support Trump, and does she ever. From Raw Story:
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, including ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-MD), demanded answers from Attorney General Pam Bondi after Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, was transferred to a “relatively luxurious minimum-security prison camp in Texas.” In a letter to Bondi on Wednesday, Democrats noted that the Department of Justice had “inexplicably transferred” Maxwell after she met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche for two days.
It’s good to know that some of the big boys in Congress noted this, and not just those of us here in Pz and other blogs. I’m impressed the Democrats took any actions at all. It might be small, but it’s a start. I’ll take it – as long as they follow through! How long have we been screaming it’s time for more of us to *do* something? Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
Ghislaine does NOT belong in a minimum security luxury prison. She does not belong anywhere near young girls. She abused them just as badly as Epstein did. And now she’s on work release? What a nightmare! Who’s to say she won’t start up again? That worries me.
“The transfer follows Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s private interviews of Ms. Maxwell, arranged after a firestorm of media attention about the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) refusal to release the full Epstein files as originally demanded by President Donald Trump,” the Democrats said. “These actions raise substantial concerns that the Administration may now be attempting to tamper with a crucial witness, conceal President Trump’s relationship with convicted sex offenders, and coax Ms. Maxwell into providing false or misleading testimony in order to protect the President.” (EDIT: Underlining mine.)
Ya think??! She lies. She lies! How in the hell could they know she won’t do the same thing on Trump’s behalf, except in the “wrong” way? She damn well knows who he is, and probably knows him rather well. Trump and Epstein were in the same circles, after all.
And there’s a rape case that was filed against Trump right before the 2016 elections that mysteriously got dropped, and the woman vanished – because of death threats! Therefore, we know there’s at least one, with it being highly likely that there were more. But they think Ghislaine can help him. I’m not sure I’d want that kind of help.
The DOJ and Bureau of Prisons may have also violated internal policies with the transfer, according to the lawmakers. “We write to demand DOJ and BOP provide all documents and information related to Deputy Attorney General Blanche’s interview of Ms. Maxwell and the sudden decision to transfer her to a facility with lower security and greater freedom for inmates, which was, prior to this extraordinary transfer, categorically off limits to sex offenders,” the letter said. Will this actually happen? Who knows. In the meantime, keep the pressure up. Increase it. This is going to cause more waffling and dancing around the subject. We haven’t let up asking for the Epstein files. Let’s not give up asking for this, either.
