I wish the headline was a sick attempt at imitating The Onion instead of a harbringer of things to come. But it’s for real. Meathead Hegseth (MeatHeadseth?) boasted about taking out a “Narco-Terrorist” operation in Ecuador. I guess he’s concerned enough about war crimes at sea he decided to start bombing land targets and avoid all that maritime law stuff about the rules at sea. Of course, “content” for the internet is crucial to Petey Boy so he had a slick video of the strike produced. The problem, as the headline indicates is that we didn’t bomb a Narco-Terrorist drug production site but a small dairy and cattle farm.

Well, at least we didn’t have any planes get shot down in this particular attack. Dudes scratching out a living via a small cattle and dairy farm usually don’t have anti-aircraft capability.  Still, as reported by The Atlanta Black Star the Meathead in charge at the Pentagon was sooooo sure of his manly man warrior-ness he just had to go and brag. Details like gathering ground intel on the site he said to bomb, or at least checking the place out once the flames had died out and the dust settled is “Woke” stuff.  What matters is he made a big boom to show his boss over in the White House.

From where I sit it’s just more kill-em-all-and-let-god-sort-em-out war crimes but as we know to MeatHeadseth it’s not enough to be a ‘warrior’ – one has to brag about it and make a cool video even if it turns out the whole thing was an “oops”:

In an embarrassing display of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s vicious appetite for violence, the former Fox News anchor boasted of a strike on ‘narco-terrorists’ in a what he called a drug camp in South America, which turned out to be a humble dairy farm in a remote village in Ecuador.

In early March, Trump officials released a video showing a huge explosion in rural Ecuador in what they claimed was a joint attack by American and Ecuadorian forces on a drug trafficking training camp, according to reporting from The New York Times.

Yep, we’ve shifted from bombing boats which might have been suspicious but for which there was no proof they were running drugs (there are other types of contraband that get smuggled) to bombing land targets.  We could have used ships that could carry helicopters to stop the boats at sea instead of blowing them out of them out water. On land, in a place like this it would have been low risk and inexpensive to check out on the ground whether this was a drug processing place, or what it actually was:

Once again, the president, Hegseth, and Ecuadorian officials offered no proof of the allegations against the small farm, and it turns out that when Times journalists began investigating the farm along the Colombian-Ecuador border, the owners of the property, workers, and human rights lawyers all say the operators were running a small cattle and dairy farm.

If asked I’m sure the response from both the Pentagon and the White House will be denial – FAKE NEWS and so on. Or they could try to spin it as suggested in the title pic. In the meantime however social media is lighting up Petey Boy which you can see via the link. I’m not holding my breath that journalists will be shamed into pressing the administration on both the initial mistake of bombing this target, and then creating a video bragging about it.  With things not going well in Iran I fear we could see a lot more of this bullshit in the days and weeks to come.

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. I absolutely agree on more bullsh!t to come. Petey Boy has already committed what are potentially called war crimes under the Geneva Conventions and Hague Regulations—which occur during armed conflicts. I went and looked it up. Go me. The guy is completely, totally, out of control, insane. If this keeps up with him and Dumba$$ Donnie, we won’t have any allies left. We already barely have a country left.

Thank you so, SO MUCH for all the military information!!!!!

  2. I’m reminded of a George W Bush moment after 9/11 in which he said “When I take action, I’m not going to fire a $2 million missile at a $10 empty tent and hit a camel in the butt. It’s going to be decisive.”

I wonder how much Kegsbreath spent to hit some cows in the butt.
