A new Congressperson went to visit “The Weekend” show and was told some good things to remember. They were just a few helpful hints in response to the ideas she originally had. Suffice it to say, seems it was pretty good advice, too! (Well, I thought it was good advice…)
Junior Congressperson Sarah McBride went to visit the above TV show with hosts Michael Steele (former RNC chair) and Symone Sanders Townsend to talk about what to expect for the upcoming Congress sessions and what things might be like for her. Well, she was told one major thing – trying to work with Republicans is a losing game for the Democrats so let them sink or swim on their own. Seems to me I can think of any number of arrogant Republicans who would be jerks about working across the aisle. They’re too “good” for Democrats, you see.
They also told her “Congresswoman, I know we’re getting ready to let you go, but I just want to say this: y’all need to chill on this, all this kumbaya partisan bi-partisan crap,” Steele told the laughing McBride. Reading from an NBC report, he continued, “Because at the end of the day, here’s your headline: ‘Republicans shoot down Democratic requests to ditch party line immigration, push and write a bipartisan bill instead. Senate Republicans are making it clear they will pursue a border package without Democratic input.'”
“They don’t want to work with you, they’re not going to work with you,” he lectured. “They have the House, the Senate, and the White House. Let them choke on that.”
I have to say that this seems to be a pretty damn good description of what trying to work across the aisle would be like. Make them own the mess they are making of the country. I know Hakeem Jeffries has finally had enough and the man is a powerful speaker as well as a really hard worker. So it will be interesting to see what stupidity Republicans come up with and expect Democrats to save them, because I think the Democrats are (finally) going to make them WORK for our help. It’s about time! Now if we could just revive and rework the entire Democratic Party….

Yeah… Michael Steele knows what he’s talking about regarding his old antiquated & neanderthal party. The GOP wants to RULE with all the POWER, but they DON’T CARE TO GOVERN in a fair & equal way. Democracy & the Constitution are just inconvenient words or ideas… & forget about fairness or Justice all together. The only reason the GOP made Michael Steele their RNC director was as a shield against Obama. They thought they needed a black man of their own to fight the agenda of the Black man in the White House.
This is a party that hasn’t had an original idea for decades, even close to a decade. They are only interested in playing by their old rules & standards…. White men are all that counts, the rich are the only ones that count & should be pandered to & anyone who does not fall into those categories are not worthy of the GOP’s attention. Everyone else is out of luck when seeking equal opportunities or treatment from these backward thinking oafs.
So yes…. the Democrats need to let the GOP try to do what they will, proceeding with their BAD IDEAS which are not popular with the majority in the country, & causing as much CHAOS as will be the result. The Democrats should fight against these BAD IDEAS & POLICIES, stopping them when possible, but they should not help them with votes to save them from the consequences of their stupidity.
A lot of people in this country made the really stupid & ignorant decision to vote for a CRIMINAL & his CRIMINAL AGENDA. Unfortunately, the entire country will have to suffer the consequences of that. But the ones who should definitely suffer the majority of those consequences like being VOTED OUT OF OFFICE, are the GOP lawmakers who through their own corruption, enabling or cowardice to stand up for American IDEALS end up paying the price of loosing their jobs of those failings.
In November 2026, it will be time to THROW THE GOP BUMS OUT!
