What you’re about to see is a glimpse into MAGA manifest destiny, the 21st century version of the sociological theory of the 19th century that the United States was ordained by God to expand westward and if they displaced the people who had lived on that land for centuries, no biggy. If “God” wants you to slaughter people and take their lands, you just do it. You will hear the word “destiny” in this propaganda clip. It is absolutely no wonder that the diplomatic visit to Greenland lasted three hours. The Vances flew in, ate lunch on a U.S. airbase and flew back out because nobody else in the country wanted anything to do with them and they had no place to go.

Maybe you can’t wait to get back, J.D., but the people of Greenland will be just fine if they never see your face on their soil again. You are persona non grata. And the God-ordained manifest destiny madness also applies, needless to say, to the Canada as 51st state idiocy and the takeover of the Panama Canal. Trump hasn’t been talking about acquiring Mexico. Maybe somebody clued him in that we already went to war with that country and that territorial dispute was settled a while back. This next clip is from a media outlet in India. The clips of Trump are incredible. The man is such a flaming idiot. This is how he’s perceived outside America, to our everlasting disgrace.
Trump is a cartoon character and he’s nuking whatever reputation the United States had as a serious, dignified country. We look like a nation of buffoons. And the recent scandal with his dry drunk Secretary of Defense has only enhanced that perception.

Greenland is Trump’s Fantasy Island. It’s going to stay that way. All that is happening is that this administration continues to embarrass themselves and the United States in the collective eyes of the world.
But we predicted this. I don’t know how many times I typed the phrase, “If Trump is reelected, we will be finished on the world stage,” or some variation of that. Right-wing media managed to broadcast Trump’s lies effectively enough to where enough people to tip the election were gaslighted into believing he would magically fix the economy and even more magically stop the war in Ukraine.
There is no magic. There is only competence and hard work that gets things done and there is a dearth of both in this ship of woefully underqualified fools that make up Trump’s cabinet and administration.

All of this madness about “acquiring” Greenland and Canada is the raving of a madman. And history will remember it as such.
Trump and his acolytes have demolished America’s reputation, and with it, it’s incredibly powerful ‘soft’ diplomatic power. From which, America’s economic power derives.
It took 50 to 100 years to build it, it’ll take another 50 to 100 years to regain it.

If tRump cared about international security, he would have put forth serious, vetted, experienced candidates for the cabinet positions of Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Homeland Security, Secretary of Energy, Director of National Intelligence, and UN Ambassador, instead of flipping the American people and those agencies a double bird in total disrespect for his office, his nation and the rest of the world.
If tRump cared about international security, he would have stuck with the US’s commitment to help Ukraine fight off Putin’s completely unprovoked power grab of invading them not once but twice. Of course, that would necessitate tRump ceasing to be Putin’s orange-haired lapdog and lackey.
Which brings us back to the subject of this article: tRump’s incessant, clueless, offensive Putin-esque aggressive overtures about acquiring OTHER NATIONS like they were boxes of candy at the Mara-Lardo boutique! (Does it have a boutique? Don’t give him any more ideas!) He is such a dips##t!!!!
The messaging is confusing. Are we standing with Greenland or preparing to stand on its neck? Of course, saying one thing and doing something opposite is nothing new for reoublicans. Since I began to care about politics and how the two major political parties’ platforms affected my life and livelihood, republicans have done this. A bill touting cleaner air or water was usually a poison pill in disguise. Instead of actually doing something to clean up our environment, they would include language that simply raised the threshold of how many parts per million of contaminants that were allowed and still be called safe for humans to breathe or drink.
I suppose there are still those around who operate under the creed of my country, right or wrong, I’m just not one of them. My country is wrong in this three-point annexation plan, and the sooner the American people stop the madness of these clowns playing a real-life version of Risk, the safer the entire world will be.
