Lawd have mercy, this woman! She doesn’t know when to quit. She doesn’t know “quit while you’re ahead”. She doesn’t know how to stop all the boogie-ing and playing and *do her job*. And for a bit of snark, good gods that makeup! She must put it on with the proverbial trowel. (And *that* is an old, old phrase.) From the Empty Wheel blog, via and with thanks to Raw Story:
The Justice Department finally arrested a suspect in the Jan. 6 pipe bombing case, potentially resolving a five-year mystery of who targeted both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions with improvised explosive devices right around the time a pro-Trump mob was storming the Capitol to try to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election. Brian Cole Jr. of Virginia has reportedly already confessed in what is shaping up to be a slam-dunk case. But President Donald Trump’s U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C. may yet well blow the whole thing with her antics, national security analyst Marcy Wheeler wrote on X Friday.
Blow the whole thing? Yes, please, may we have another? Another Fox News choice who should have stayed right where she was. She seems to have limited law knowledge and less prosecutorial experience. But she can party with the best of them! Antics, as described in the above paragraph, seem too mild for what she is reputedly doing.
Here’s an example. Remember Sandwich Guy? Threw a Subway footlong at a CBP guy, and she tried to charge him with felony assault, but a grand jury refused to indict him. So then she takes him to court for a misdemeanor AND LOSES. For throwing a footlong sandwich. What a waste of time and money!! But she showed him what she could do! *snort*
Wheeler, who runs the “Empty Wheel” blog, responded to an update by Lawfare editor Roger Parloff, who wrote that U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew Sharbaugh “rule[d] that accused pipebomber Cole must be detained. Oddly, he still hasn’t ruled on whether to accept Cole’s superior court indictment. I don’t see how he can detain him unless he accepts that indictment.” “I think this is going to be appealed where Cole will force his probable cause hearing,” wrote Wheeler. “I should say: I do think it likely he did it. I also think DOJ played procedural games bc Jeanine Pirro was too busy partying to do things right.”
Some people just don’t know when to quit. She’s so out of place and uneducated. How in the hell she passed the legal exams, well, we’ll never know. DC is not exactly a place where you can slide by without worrying about the details. No, you need to be on top of your game, because Trump is sitting *right there* in the White House. That’s just the first thing, because you know there are more (insert appropriate emoticon here).
Pirro, a former judge and prosecutor in New York who spent years as a right-wing firebrand commentator on Fox News before being appointed by Trump to replace his scandal-plagued first choice for top prosecutor in D.C., has run into a number of problems with other cases she has tried to prosecute since taking office. Some experts have even accused Pirro of knowingly bringing unwinnable cases to just make a statement against people who haven’t broken the law, a serious violation of prosecutorial ethics.
*She* was a former judge, too? Good gods. As inept as she’s been as the DC AG, I want to know either did she actually do it on her own, or did she pay someone for help? If you folks have any ideas, I’d love to hear them. But in the meantime, Ms. Jeanine is making a mess, and it’s all on her. Blondi would be better off getting far, far away from this woman, because she is a walking disaster, with heavy makeup, on two legs.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money, especially around the holidays. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Power: real or perceived, attempts to re-establish and or maintain, rots and corrupts doesn’t it?
Oh yes. it does! Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I can’t understand how she was a lawyer and then a judge because she’s such an idiot!
Maybe she used to be smart, but her brain is so pickled in alcohol that she’s lost whatever smarts she had.
I’m thinking of starting another occasional series called “Stuff we don’t believe in 2026.” I’ll start it off with that old chestnut ‘Dumbty is teetotal.’ He drinks like a fish. Whiskey every evening and wine at dinner with Cokes for breakfast and lunch to try and fool us into this fallacy of his.
Then he goes and hires alcoholics for top jobs like Secretary of War (I wonder how secure the military feels with a drunk in charge of national security?) and DC AG. I’m willing to bet AA instantly recognise a fellow drunk when looking at Kristi Noem, too.
