It is not so much a political convention as it is a gigantic therapy sessioin for the insane — except they’re not trying to get well. He got nicked in the ear. My theory of broken glass has been debunked. Snopes is reporting that it was not broken glass.
Reporters from both Newsmax and Axios reported on a source making this claim, which was then amplified by other outlets including Raw Story. Some went so far as to call the purported disclosure evidence of a “stunt.”
There was, however, no evidence to suggest anything other than a bullet caused the wound to Trump’s ear, and these early reports to the contrary have largely been walked back.
The assertion that glass, not a bullet, caused the injury is undercut by the fact that photographs show no damage to the teleprompters allegedly hit to produce the broken glass, by a New York Times photograph capturing a bullet passing by Trump’s ear, and by the fact that Trump later stated, on Truth Social, that a bullet had, in fact, pierced his ear:
“I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.”
Trump’s description of his wound matches photographs of his ear after he was hit, prior to being removed from stage. The two circles below, added by Snopes, highlight two areas that appear to show torn skin:
This is the end of that theory. So if it’s a bullet, it’s a bullet. In any event, two comments I want to make:
- I have literally seen guys lose more blood from a shaving cut;
- Trump is playing it to the hilt with the bandage. He didn’t have a bandage on when he went home on his plane that night but he’s sporting the bandage tonight, like a war hero.
I’m going to make a prediction. If we get through this somehow in one piece, if we remain America, this portion of our history is going to be made into hilarious black comedies. Because this is surreal and it is unbelievable. The only reason I am not laughing is because the stakes are so freaking high. If this unspeakable POS gets back into office, I don’t know what will happen. And I don’t want to find out.
Orange menace would wear a bandage for two reasons: sympathy and for vanity. If he does have a small piece of his ear missing, he will wear the bandage until his plastic surgery to replace those “missing” parts is all healed. If for sympathy, well, he will wear it until election day. But he doesn’t need to bandage. There is no more blood coming from his “wound”. Geez, the news people are so damned gullible and all in for orange jeebus. Saturday was maga Easter. He has risen from the dead to lead his maga sheep – hopefully off a cliff!

snopes is wrong. a bullet would have done significant damage even if it had grazed von shitzinpants’ ear. snopes might be trusted to sniff out journalistic facts and fictions but they obviously are not capable of judging ballistic results. Was it glass from the teleprompter? Don’t know really-could be from another source. I DO know it is not damage from a bullet. I don’t just reload ammo for shit’s and giggles–I do so in order to have accurate, consistent shots every time I shoot–the last thing I ever wanted to do was wound an animal I was hunting–I wanted it dead, first shot and accurate loads and extensive practice are the only way to do that. Von shitzi isn’t the luckiest man alive, he just did not have a bullet hit him, graze him, or anything like it.

which has an aerial photo showing the line of fire. Comparetore was killed by shots upstream of trump, and Copenhaven and Dutch were injured downstream. For trump to have been winged by an intact bullet, his head would have to have been turned parallel to the line of fire. The spatter shows the projectile probably hit his ear from behind and left a trail on his cheek. That would mean his head was turned away from the shooter 180 degrees.
This video on Youtube shows Comparetore down in the stands, which shows the rounds were coming in very low and possibly going through a railing at the edge of the stand. Crooks clearly didn’t have a clear line of sight.
