This is bad. Federal law enforcement has been kicked to the curb. It’s all about focusing on one of Trump’s pet projects that has ballooned out of control. So much is going by the wayside since the DoJ decided to crack down on immigration cases. They’re not paying much attention to the actual criminals in the US. This is most certainly not a good sign. Are these people walking free to commit the same sort of crimes again? The DoJ is Trump’s personal law organization for his Revenge Tour™ and immigration to kick people out of the country. What’s wrong with this picture? My regards to Raw Story:

Federal law enforcement has collapsed as the Department of Justice focuses on President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Reuters review found that between January and April, federal prosecutors in Minnesota charged eight people with gun or drug offenses compared to 77 in the same period last year, which amounts to a 90 percent collapse in serious federal criminal prosecutions.

New gun and drug prosecutions stalled.

Several top prosecutors quit.

Some federal agents disappeared from drug task forces and gang cases,” Reuters reported.

“Others took the unusual step of bringing their investigations to state authorities.”

My, my, my. Look at all of the reasons and people disappearing. Look at the numbers. Look at the collapse. This is not the DoJ we knew. It’s been twisted into something that obeys Trump and kowtows to his wishes. Apparently, real criminals aren’t important. Kicking people out of the country is. How did this happen so fast? Because of Blondi and her sycophantic, slavish devotion to Trump instead of the law? It happened so fast! We have to be thankful that some cases have been turned over to the states. At least they might get something done with actual criminals.

Prosecutors have charged 90 people felonies so far this year, about half as many as last year, and those felony cases include 39 defendants – among them journalist Don Lemon- accused of disrupting a church service during a protest of the immigration surge, and another 17 of those criminal cases involve immigration-related offenses.

You can’t tell me that sex trafficking and drug trafficking and that kind of thing is less important than people going into a church to protest,” said Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty, the top local prosecutor in Minneapolis.

Charging Don Lemon and others with a felony for protesting during a church service. We need to know exactly what happened in there, because we have very little information on the actual event. All we know is there was a protest in a church. Then look at the other crimes listed. There are definitely more important cases to work on than immigration. What the heck!.

Critics on social media accused the president of enabling criminals while focusing on non-violent immigrants.

“President Trump has touted his Minneapolis operation – which deployed more feds than the area has police officers – as a way to get tough on crime,” said Reuters correspondent Brad Heath, who was on the team that reviewed the Minnesota statistics. “But the operation soupended federal law enforcement that now some agents are taking the unusual step of bringing their cases to local prosecutors.”

“The undertold story of the Trump administration is how criminal law enforcement has collapsed – from gun violations to white collar crimes – as DOJ resources focused instead on nonviolent immigrants,” noted writer and law professor Nathan Newman.

Combined with pardoning J6 terrorists the ‘trump crime spree’ is free framing for Dems (which they should have used in 2020 when Trump caused a crime spike),” offered blogger Oliver Willis.

Trump crime spree. What a succinct way to say it. We may have to hold onto that phrase for future use. So, here we are. The DoJ is focusing on the wrong things. Deporting illegal immigrants is a lot less important than almost every other crime. Yet that is what we’re seeing. At this point, we can’t even say if the DoJ is retrievable. It’s going to be a challenge to fix it. In the meantime, watch criminals walk free to do it again. And a number of the J6ers are back in jail. What are we getting into?

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. The long established modus operandi of this crowd is ‘move fast and break things’.

So they’ve moved fast and broken law enforcement.

Why would you do that? Who benefits from broken law enforcement?

Criminals. People who benefit from law-breaking. Republicans.
