I think Musk is going to unload Twitter at a loss. I believe that because it’s just not in his wheelhouse. The longer he keeps it, the more it goes downhill. If he can unload it at a loss — or get a CEO in there who can stabilize it, either one — then he’ll do better than if he tries to run it himself.
It’s like putting me in charge of the space program. We all have our gifts and training that allows us to do certain things and not do others. Surely Musk must realize this.

It makes no sense to want to destroy something that expensive. It’s like me taking my car and running it into the side of the garage. Why destroy an asset like that? Either use the asset, or sell the asset, but destroy it? Or, maybe he’s a sociopath, I don’t know. I guess we’ll find out.
Yeah, I’m with you on this one, Ursula. Buying it to destroy it is the current copium answer people are attributing to Elon because the alternative is too horrible for them to consider. That alternative can be summed up with a question: surely he isn’t THAT stupid…is he? Everything I’ve seen…yes, yes, he is. And the last of my sympathy for him is dead and buried behind it.

Thanks for the blast from the past. When I was 13, I got to go “backstage” at an outdoor concert and meet the Surfaris and the Beach Boys. They were all really young, new on the scene and really nice, friendly and happy to have fans. I lost their autographs decades ago.

Does anyone know anything about the remaining house election results? I keep hearing that there are about 19 races where the ballots are still being counted but I am also hearing about the ‘pubes getting a narrow majority which seems a bit premature.
Friday was Veterans Day, and state goverment offices often do not work Saturdays. Today, Monday, is the last day in my state for absentee ballots from military and other eligible voters located out of country to come in. By all accounts there are more of them than I wold have expected. Remeber that, especially in close races, who’s ahead can change like a see-saw during this counting phase. Yes, I’m impatient too. Sadly, impatience does not speed up the process.
