(Above – Godspeed, Alexei.)
Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny was hospitalized Wednesday for an “allergic reaction,” following his arrest during mass protests against election authorities in Moscow, according to his spokeswoman. Navalny’s personal doctor later wrote on Facebook that she does not believe he is suffering from an allergic reaction, but the effects of “undefined chemical substances.”…
… The “allergic reaction” is not Navalny’s first physical ailment resulting from his advocacy. In 2017, a chemical attack on his face caused him to lose 80% of his vision in one eye, per his website.”
From his doctor’s face book post today:
“I, as a doctor who treated the heavy burn of the surface of the eyes of alexei two years ago – I can confidently say that and in 2017, and now is the result of the damaging action of unknown chemicals. There is no allergy to alexei and never had. More than that – he ate the same food with all prisoners, no new perfumes or means of personal hygiene used.
Today is especially scary for the injured right eye, which really with great difficulty managed to save. No one heals a developing kerato conjunctivitis, an ophthalmologist is not inspected. To check these facts, we strongly recommend that law enforcement agencies take on the chemical examination of navalny’s bedding, and the doctors would need to immediately take the scrapings from the skin, explore also the hair.
Moreover, I personally believe that the main doctor of sharapova needs to be prosecuted for forensic examination, and also fast! Organize an observation of ophthalmologist (since she refuses my help), given the heavy ophthalmological history and real complaints and corresponding status oculorum (Ophthalmological status). I want to remind olga sharapova that failure to provide medical assistance is punishable in accordance with the Russian criminal code article 124.
We are afraid of the delayed effects of damage, and we want to figure out what caused such massive damage to the skin covers and mucous.
And I will personally insist on the right of a patient to choose a doctor and a medical organization in accordance with article 10 of the federal law no. 323, and on the fact that navalny, as any citizen of Russia has the right to receive a guaranteed amount of medical assistance in accordance with the detected pathology.”
Meanwhile, Putin’s brutality against the street protesters continues unabated.

Coming soon to a theater near us?
Instead of investing Russia’s wealth in services and liberalization, Putin has looted it and built a machine for violent repression. This is where Europe’s “engagement” money has gone. https://t.co/0Q5YozQhf2
