It’s the wee hours on the west coast but on the east it’s early morning, at the time of this post, and Donald Trump is not only awake, he’s apparently pi$$ed — or paranoid or freaked, pick your descriptor. But he just did something that most defendants in his position would not do and that’s change lawyers the day of the arrest. Word came down from CNN minutes ago that Drew Findling, Trump’s lawyer, has been replaced by Steven Sadow. The big story here, obviously, is why did Trump do that and the only answer anybody can come up with instantaneously is that Sadow is making Trump out to be pure as the driven snow. Findling was undoubtedly a realist, and Trumpty Dumpty doesn’t want any realists, he wants miracle workers who are also sycophants.
As Murfster pointed out last night, Trump is changing his depends and that’s only going to get worse as the day goes on.
“I have been retained to represent President Trump in the Fulton County, Georgia case. The President should never have been indicted. He is innocent of all the charges brought against him,” Sadow said in statement.

Sadow has a reputation for being a “nationally known, high profile criminal defense lawyer with 43 years experience.” He’ll need every second of that experience when defending this new client. I hope he had enough sense to get a hefty retainer and up front, in cash. Guardian:
Just hours before Trump is supposed to turn himself in, reports broke that he had shaken up his team. Criminal defense lawyer Steve Sadow is reportedly going to replace Trump’s existing lawyer, Drew Findling, according to the New York Times.
Notably, Findling, alongside Jennifer Little and Marissa Goldberg, was key in negotiating Trump’s $200,000 bond.
Little will reportedly stay on the team.
In a statement to ABC News, Sadow said: “I have been retained to represent President Trump in the Fulton county, Georgia case. The president should never have been indicted. He is innocent of all the charges brought against him. We look forward to the case being dismissed or, if necessary, an unbiased, open minded jury finding the president not guilty. Prosecutions intended to advance or serve the ambitions and careers of political opponents of the president have no place in our justice system.”
Now Findling may have been shown the door because he donated to Fani Willis’ 2020 campaign, plus he referred to Trump as a “racist” in a tweet once. But that was a while back.
In any event, Trump’s lawyers might as well install a revolving door on the courthouse, because it looks like his legal team is as unstable as the man himself.
Stay tuned and buckle up. It’s going to be a bumpy day — and night.

I always though that it was the jury who decided innocence or guilt – not the lawyers
I don’t know about “nationally known.” I did a search and yes he’s represented some people with means who were well known. Football player and human p.o.s. Ray Lewis for example. But hell, representing rich/well known athletes, entertainers and so on doesn’t make a lawyer a bad person, much less a bad lawyer. Opportunistic perhaps. But as I said, despite my search turning up a list of “celebrity” clients I’d never heard of the guy. I also think if he was truly kick-azz he’d at least have a Wikipedia page and he doesn’t. Still, he’s considered top drawer in Atlanta and knows GA law in & out and Trump needs that. It keeps getting mentioned that there seems to be something different about Trump’s GA legal problems. This move is evidence Trump is more scared than he’s letting on. I can’t imagine this guy taking on Trump’s case without a multi-million dollar retainer and Trump’s slush fund is bleeding like a severed carotid artery!
One thing different about former guy’s GA legal problem is that it’s a state felony case and it’s in the state of GA which is quite restricted where pardons are concerned. I expect former guy is sh*tting himself silly about the potential this trial has of severely restricting his freedom when he is convicted because despite what Mr. “I’m a big shot attorney” says there is at least a recording of the phone call he placed with the governor and you can’t dismiss that evidence.
I personally cannot wait to see former guy crying like a b*tch when he’s found guilty. Sure hope he’s wearing depends on that day.
First of all, Traitor Tot is NOT the President (never was so far as I am concerned!), and is not entitled to any special treatment. He should already be sitting in a cell awaiting his further arrests and trials. Bail should never been granted. He has the means (but not the brains) to flee the country. Whether any other country would let his plane land is another issue. My main question is why is Traitor Tot not already on trial for treason and sedition (he is clearly guilty of both!). His inevitable conviction and execution would solve many problems!
Findling donated about four times what he gave Willis to Biden’t 2020 campaign. Of course, there are honest lawyers who can put aside any political or personal views to provide someone a robust defense. (And those who can are IMO more likely to be Democrats then Republicans, though that’s just my opinion; I have no evidence.) But Trump** is incapable of understanding that, let alone believing it or trusting anyone bt a sycophant.
