The three Republicans here are all top seeded 2024 VP picks, Doug Burgum, Marco Rubio and J.D. Vance. We are told by both The Hill and CBS News that these are the top three choices, the cream that has risen to the top. Listen to what these three have said about Donald Trump before they underwent the same alien mind conversion as Lindsey Graham, or whatever happens to these people to MAGAfornicate them.

This is what we’re up against this election cycle. Everybody with two brain cells working knows Trump is a total washout and has no business running for president of the United States. The three top running VP candidates know it. This we have just seen. Yet, they’ve chosen to walk away from their consciences, and to devote themselves to MAGAmania, because it is the way back to power — they hope and pray. And if they have to sell their souls to get there, then so be it.
Sources familiar with the process have told The Hill the front-runners for the position are North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R), Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
Others who received vetting materials and are under consideration include Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson.
Trump has praised each of those individuals at various times, though he has downplayed the impact his selection might have on the end result in November.
Two schools of thought on that last statement: Some people believe that having Dick Cheney on the ticket was of immense help to George W. Bush because nobody had confidence in Dubya’s abilities. And that hesitation was well grounded. So, logically, if Trump is going to play golf when and if he gets back to Washington, then the Cheney-equivalent actually running the show would be Vance, Rubio or Burgum, we are told.
Maybe it doesn’t matter. Maybe Trump is right. Maybe this is all a Kabuki dance because Trump is such an incredibly toxic candidate and the likelihood of him prevailing is so dim that this is just going through the motions. Or, maybe with the right person in the number two slot, the big money donors might be willing to open their wallets a bit wider because the person they are in fact paying for is not Trump, but the actual power behind the throne.
Peter Thiel is all in for J.D. Vance, purportedly, and Rupert Murdoch is backing Doug Burgum. Marco Rubio is supposedly the favorite of power brokers Kellyanne Conway and Sean Hannity. If Conway picked Pence back in 2016, which is the story going around, then perhaps the same Pence backing could be persuaded to back Rubio, i.e., Erik Prince and Betsy DeVos.
I’m speculating here. But it is a theory that fits the facts. It’s a no brainer that Trump is utterly incompetent. But, if by some miracle a number two man can be chosen, with the understanding that it will be he who brings home the bacon, then maybe that’s exactly the topic of conversation right now in the mythical smoke-filled back rooms, where the checkbooks are kept.
Interesting trio of men, interesting pre-MAGA views. Again, I hope that Biden-Harris plays the hell out of this clip, over and over to where everybody in America knows the words by heart. This is Republican hypocrisy on steroids, right here.
I wish this was a culture where people actually stopped believing in ‘reality’ tv shows, read pulitzer prize winning books, and took the responsibilities of citizenship seriously. I seriously doubt these videos will make any difference. After all, watching this fascist pig destroy children, kill a million citizens, shit on military heroes, and say enough stupid shit to build a ladder to the moon, he GOT MORE VOTES!
I still believe that it cannot be Rubio, a fellow Floridian. He would have to give up his seat in FL and move to another state—-basically giving up any political career (and paycheck)—-in the hopes of winning (?) with Trump.
The transparency and hypocrisy of the move would turn off even more voters “that we don’t want or need”.
