Despite the fact that nearly every major national polling organization is showing that Vice President Harris has closed the gap between herself and Trump, and is now ahead of him nationally by between 2 to 5 points, JD Vance showed up this morning to Fox News to argue to host Shannon Bream that those mean old pollsters, after months of publishing polls showing Trump with a consistent lead over Biden, are now in effect putting out fake news polls with an eye towards dampening Republican enthusiasm before the election.
Sounds like somebody needs a blankie and a binky…
“Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance clashed with Fox News host Shannon Bream after she pointed to polls showing “great momentum” for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
During a Sunday interview on Fox News, Vance insisted that momentum for the Harris campaign was stagnating.
“How does that not line up then with another poll we got out this morning, Washington Post, ABC, they’re giving the vice president nationally a four to five-point lead?” Bream noted. “I mean, those are new numbers…”
…”We can’t worry about polls,” he continued. “Consistently, what you’ve seen in 2016 and 2020 is that the media uses fake polls to drive down Republican turnout and to create dissension and conflict with Republican voters.”
“I’m telling you, every single person who’s watching this, the Trump campaign is in a very, very good spot.”
This is such patent nonsense that I am surprised that not even Fox News reporter Bream didn’t call Vance out for it.
First of all, JD, no major news outlet, not even MSNBC this cycle has been shy about reporting good news for Trump, and some that have been accused of liberal bias in the past (and you know who you are) have been extremely reticent to report any negative stories about the dotard.
And secondly, when the polls showed Trump ahead neither him nor anyone in his campaign was shy about praising their accuracy.

Vance also made news by putting VP Harris into the same sentence with Jeffrey Epstein…

I don’t know who on the campaign encouraged Vance to bring up Epstein, and whether it was possibly Trump’s stupid idea or his own, but I do expect Harris’ team will hit back hard on this statement today.
The Trump camping seems determined to implode on itself this year.
Even though Vance, and his creepy weirdness, is a huge factor in these poll numbers shifting, there are some MAGAts who are trying to use that weirdness as a positive. The latest sick, twisted merch in MAGAville is sperm specimen cups that are labeled “JD Vance Full Family Kit.” I guess it means if you are childless, JD Vance will scrape his jizz off the sofa and send it to you! Wasn’t there a “Twilight Zone” episode about this? I know there was a “Law & Order” about an OB/GYN doing it. Of course, once these idiots outlaw IVF, you couldn’t use the glory of Vance’s sperm anyway. How can these weirdos question why they are seen as weirdos? Back when he was on Comedy Central doing the Colbert Report (for those who weren’t fans he played a dumbass, egotistic and self-aggrandizing RWNJ pundit – genius level satire) he did a gig where I promoted containers of his own “seed.” If Comedy Central doesn’t act like jerks over what they might consider their intellectual property Colbert could revive this during a monologue on his CBS late-night show. It would be epic.
