I truly do not know how to call the shot on this one. I would say that the congressman in question was following basic protocol for something of this nature but basic protocol and Donald Trump are two notions that have never harmoniously co-existed. You’ll have to read it yourself. I think it’s entirely on the level but it’s also entirely misguided. Maybe Hakeem can have a talk with this guy and clue him in as to how Trump works.
2/ My congressional office was glad to provide inauguration tickets to hundreds of Coloradans, but these tickets are now strictly commemorative due to the President-elect’s decision and do not allow you to attend the ceremonies.

If you’re a MAGA who made the effort, so sorry friend you’re SOL. Just by the by, Jack Kennedy’s Inauguration in 1961 was in the same kind of cold. It was 20 degrees in Washington. The sun was shining and snow was piled high. But then Donald Trump is no Jack Kennedy, that is for damn certain.
Wake up, MAGA. You’ve been had. This is just more of the process. You are the least of Trump’s concerns. But find out the hard way and in due course. Unfortunately, we’re all going to be dragged along for the ride. That’s the tragedy.

Rep Jason Crow knows exactly what he’s doing and it was a really smart move. He rightly states:
1. who is solely responsible for the last-minute move
2. that those who spent heavily to attend the event should be refunded
And he says this while knowing full well
3. the Dumpster has no intention of ever refunding any of them.
Jason Crow knows that the only way the maga faithful will ever get their thick heads around what the Dumpster is really like is if they go to him with a reasonable request and are either promptly refused or only ever hear from him when he wants more of their money. Even then it’s unlikely to work on the fully-committed cultists but at least Crow is pointing out who is responsible. The US corporate media is never going to do it.
Spot on, Michelle. This is world-class trolling by Crow and I think it might be effective. MSM has been full of interviews with Trumpites who feel betrayed because of the inauguration and some other issues: “why are you nominating an Under Secretary of Education? You said you were going to destroy the Department of Education! Don’t you dare renege on your promises!!” He always has reneged, but at least they are starting to notice!!
Years ago there was a great movie called Breaking Away…about a group of kids in a small town who took on the college kids in a bicycle race. Dennis Quaid was just getting started as an actor. One kid, obsessed with Italian racers, went around town speaking the language, and was a good racer. His dad didn’t like it, so he encouraged him to come work at his used car lot in town. It didn’t work out because his son offered some dissatisfied customer a refund. The funny part was it traumatized his father who spent several scenes just yelling out REFUND! REFUND! REFUND! I guess the magas will never learn who they’re dealing with. It used to be believed, when I was in school, if you didn’t know something, or lacked the correct facts, you LEARNED them, and now you were slightly better educated. You were NOT allowed to believe just anything, or to ignore the correct answers to questions. That was the road to being held back a grade, and NO ONE wanted that. I guess 78 million people need to go to their public school system and demand a REFUND. As the saying goes…some people NEVER learn.
I saw photos of Kennedy inauguration. He was wearing a suit. No coat. A suit. I’d be willing to wager the farm this has nothing to do with temperature and EVERYTHING to do with a VERY insecure snowflake being terrified of being confronted with a very SMALL ATTENDANCE.
Contrary to his myth, he’s been afraid his entire life. He hides in self importance, but you can only inflate that balloon so far. He’s riding high…like when an addict gets a shot of heroin.
