I’m not going to say that this is disinformation because I don’t know that. I will say that it’s intriguing that the new MAGA-coded version of CBS is the first to break this sad story about Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who shot Renee Good in the face, causing her death, when all the woman was trying to do was get out of his way and take herself and her dog home. CBS News:
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent who fatally shot Renee Good last week in Minneapolis, Jonathan Ross, suffered internal bleeding to the torso following the incident, according to two U.S. officials briefed on his medical condition.
It was unclear how extensive the bleeding was. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Ross’ injury, but has not yet responded to CBS News’ requests for more information. This story will be updated as we learn more.
Videos from the scene showed Ross walking away after the incident.
Ross has not returned to work, one source said, but did not say why.
Kristi Noem, the Homeland Security secretary, previously acknowledged that Ross was taken to the hospital after the shooting and was released the same day. She said he was recovering from his injuries, describing him as an experienced law enforcement officer who believed he was defending himself and fellow agents. […]
Ross, a 10-year law enforcement veteran with ICE, was seriously injured in June in a separate incident in the Minneapolis area when he was dragged by a car during an attempted arrest, requiring 33 stitches and hospital care, court records show.
U.S. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino told CBS News in an interview Sunday that Ross “has had several threats against his life,” adding, “he’s in a safe location. He’s recovering from those injuries, and we’re thankful that he’s recovering.”
Maybe his internal injuries stem from the incident in June. Or maybe he has an ulcer. Or maybe this is all propaganda to gain sympathy for the officer when in fact sympathy is due to the murdered woman’s children and loved ones.
Let’s see how many other outlets besides CBS report this. I know it’s a dark accusation to make against CBS but in light of what we’ve already seen that outlet do, I don’t think it’s an unfounded one. Edward R. Murrow is rolling in his grave.

I still keep thinking about the fact that he chose to step in front of her vehicle.
Whilst simultaneously wielding a camera phone in one hand and a gun in the other, which is, of course, against all good practice of using either.
Even odder, he did this hand-filling exercise while ‘in fear of his life’ or so has been claimed.
I strongly suspect no jury will see it that way when asked, as at least one will be.
If “U.S. officials” confirm that Ross was injured, release the report of his medical treatment, DHS! Otherwise, it IS disinformation.
Yes. He has no functioning heart or spine.
It could take a long while, and serious effort to get a civil suit filed and operating. DOJ has no intention of doing any investigating of Ross and this adds one more reason about why not. It also would matter if they try to file charges against Good’s partner. Any claim that included “injuries” to Ross would become Brady material including hospital records. Team Trump might for the time being be able to use HIPPA to intimidate doctors and nurses as they would lose their licenses to practice if they revealed any information (either testimony or written records) absent a waiver from Ross or by court order. However if the time comes where that shield Ross/DHS/DOJ is hiding behind gets pierced anyone involved in Ross’ care during his hospital visit will have their names become public record, even if some details remained hidden.
Why do I bother with all that? Well, in a former life I managed care for special needs populations which involved having to follow HIPPA. In fact I regularly trained day care staff on the law. A long time before THAT I worked for a while for a company that recruited and placed doctors with medical practices and hospitals which is how I learned some stuff about Malpractice insurance. You can be sure that both the insurer of the hospital and the various doctors will get a hard look from their malpractice carriers. Especially the doctors. For those who don’t know when a physician leaves a medical practice or retires they have to purchase what’s called a Tail Policy. It’s a ‘if years down the road a claim his made my ass is covered’ type of insurance. Same for hospitals and medical practices that close.
Releasing a patient with internal bleeding? IF the doctors and hospitals were put on the spot they’d be in a helluva fix and an expensive one. Some granular questions would be asked in despositons as to exactly how a diagnosis of ‘internal bleeding’ was made. What tests including scans were done? How ‘severe’ was the bleeding? Why if there WAS bleeding that could be detected did they allow him to leave. What if anything did they do to control it? Did Ross sign himself out against medical advice? So many questions (this is just a start) the people who treated Ross never, EVER want to have to answer in a sworn deposition.
But their names would be known to their malpractice carriers. And it doesn’t speak well of the standard of care in that hospital or the doctors and nurses. It will be reflected in both current malpractice insurance premiums and someday a Tail policy. And IF Ross had actually been struck by the vehicle, or perhaps as you suggest might have had an ulcer which got aggravated by the adrenaline rush and bled some if someday he wants to get some type of compensation he’s now fucked.
You don’t need to say it’s BS – I’ll say it based on thei:
