We need some comic relief right now, so let’s turn to this. Video was taken on a train in Colorado. There is a question as to whether it’s from today or several years back. You know how the internet works.  Look to the center of the video and you will indeed see a big hairy brown creature, looking very much like Chewbacca, moving to the left. I had to run the video three times before the motion caught my eye, so give yourself a break if you miss it at first.

And we’re off.

Here’s one answer.

Here’s another one. I guess I’m too old and blind. I don’t see a damn thing.

But don’t worry. You haven’t wasted your time reading this piece. Here’s the best Bigfoot of all, driving a ’57 T-Bird no less.

Intriguing. I was praising Dean Phillips to the sky in 2018 when he did this ad. Now I see him as the suicide bomber out to destroy democracy.

Philips is 2024’s Pat Buchanan, a political suicide bomber who dies in the process but wounds Biden, perhaps fatally.

Philips is profoundly unready for higher office but arrogant and reckless enough to believe the venal lies of those telling him to run. All he will accomplish is to further divide the Democratic base at a time when unity is a weapon against the return of Trump.

He has until tomorrow to decide to primary Biden…and the people pushing him into the race will shock the hell out of you.

That’s the cliffhanger that Rick Wilson left us on today. Here’s just a bit more.

The war drums are beating in Republican and Democratic consultant circles that there might…just might be one more self-funding candidate cow to milk this season.

There’s a particular flavor of political consultant who can smell these candidates like wolves smell a wounded deer from 10 miles off, and Philips, who has about $100 million of his own to play with and promises of some Silicon Valley tech-bro cash, is drawing them to him.

Don’t ask me. I just share what I find. Dean Phillips understands a great deal more than a lot of the run of the mill congress critters. He’s proven that with the brilliant video that toppled his opponent in 2018. Will he use this savvy to topple democracy?

Stay tuned. When I find out what Rick Wilson knows, or preferably if Phillips decides to sit this one out, you’ll be the first to know.

  1. In all seriousness, speaking as someone who grew up hunting and would go on to become a Marine infantryman I know a thing or two about “cover and concealment” and the use of different means of camouflage. Note the person (yes, it’s a person) and the surrounding terrain – and the fact you only see him (probably a he given the height of the individual when he’s moving. Freeze near the end once he’s sat down, look away for a few seconds then look back and tell me you can pick him out amidst everything. Oh, it might not have been a hunter but a savvy wildlife photographer. Some will use cammo to get closer to their subjects to get better pictures. As for why the person moved from one spot another perhaps they moved (either going to or returning from) a spot where they peformed a “bodily function” and didn’t want to have the smell near their spot where they intended to spend their day. That’s all this is.

But I’ll admit it’s fun to see the speculation. And if in the midst of everything going on this goes viral the tinfoil hat types will come up with some remarkably funny bat-shit insane stuff!

    • The part that intrigues me is that this happens right when there’s Dean Phillips activity afoot. That’s my paranoia, that Phillips will use his brilliance for ad making to do God knows what to the Democratic party.
