There are children and then there are lost infants and then there is Donald Trump, who is utterly hopeless. If you went to his Truth Social feed yesterday you would have seen Trump promoting a story by D.C. Enquirer, wherein it was opined that TIME Magazine awarding Taylor Swift its Person Of The Year honor was a “massive mistake.” What would have been a better idea, the article goes on, would be if TIME gave the award to Trump instead. Trump endorsed that statement, thereby reaching new depths for tone deafness and lack of class.
It also didn’t help the already strained MAGA/Swifties conflict going in this country. This was not a wise move on Trump’s part. But it was a totally understandable one, because if there’s one thing that Trump loves more than life itself, it is flattery. Just ask any of the dictators whom he worships, they’ll tell you. The guy is a complete idiot and if you fawn on him, he’ll believe anything that you tell him. Here are a few bits from this puff/fluff piece.
On Wednesday, Time Magazine declared left-wing singer Taylor Swift as 2023’s ‘Person of the Year,’ a massive mistake since leading 2024 presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump has done more to save this country than any other president, person, or singer.
President Trump, who just happened to be born on Flag Day, has been successful at quite literally everything he’s ever tried throughout his life. Whether it’s sports, military school, college, business, real estate, late-night talk shows, movies, television, reality TV, or politics, Trump has triumphed at it all.
It goes on about how Trump fought human trafficking, yes, he didn’t earn all that QAnon recognition for nothing. And then it goes on to the booming economy, bla bla.
According to Trump’s campaign website, when he returns to the White House, he will “conduct a top-to-bottom overhaul of the federal bureaucracies to clean out the rot and corruption of Washington D.C.”
How has the Deep State repaid Trump for world peace, saving children, securing the greatest economy in history, and so much more? They’ve indicted him four times, which has only made him grow stronger.
The least Time Magazine could do is award President Trump with 2023’s ‘Person of the Year’ title!

As to Taylor Swift, I hope she gets more people registered and voting. That is a worthy mission. And I hope that every celebrity who has any kind of a voice, a podium, a platform, will do the same thing. We all need to pitch in together if we’re going to save democracy.

Personally, I loathe Taylor Swift. Her “fans” can be every bit as cultish as the MAGAts. She’s overblown, her “music” is trite but, for some reason, people are willing to spend every bit of money on her latest album, no matter how many versions she puts out.
So, she’s signed up voters–big deal. This current “battle” between the “Swifties” and the “Trombies” is nothing new– just another skirmish that ultimately means less than nothing. I don’t really agree with Time’s choice (what has she REALLY done to merit the honor?)–let’s face it, it’s not like Time’s honor is really meaningful. Trump COULD have been named, although I really doubt he’d appreciate their reasoning. Adolf Hitler was honored as Time’s “Man of the Year” as have others whose names have gone down in history with the same level of disrepute.

Last I checked,,Swift hasn’t broken any laws, isn’t indicted for 91 crimes, hasn’t defamed two Black female election workers. I am not wild about her music. I was,rather shocked when I heard her sing in Cats,because she has a decent voice. But she earned her billion dollars by her talent and hard work,rather than inheriting millions from a Dad who. aimed her out when she screamed up royally. She encourages young people to register to.vote and then vote. That alone makes her better than a Trumpie who have actually do e everything possible to make it harder for college students,who tend to be liberal,to vote.
