They really did it this time. The latest download was not fully redacted, and the victim’s names and photos are now out there for the world to grab. Wonderful. They’ve gone through this twice, once when it happened, and once when a group came forward to press for the release of all the Epstein files. It could happen again, or worse, because we don’t know who is out there who *hasn’t* come forth into the public eye. Apparently, they were too busy redacting Trump and didn’t think about the girls who were abused. Thank you, Raw Story:

It appears President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice didn’t do the “bare minimum” to protect the sensitive data of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims in its latest document dump, according to one analyst. Last week, the Trump administration released more than 3 million new files related to the FBI’s investigation of the convicted sex criminal. Some of the files raised significant questions about Trump’s ties to Epstein, as well as Epstein’s relationships with some of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful people.

Wealthiest and most powerful? Who cares?! They have a lot more money than any of us. They’ll just bloviate and obfuscate as Trump does, and/or pay off to keep them quiet. But the victims? That’s a completely different issue. They don’t *have* protection. Yes, they have each other, but nothing like the rich and famous. The DoJ insisted they were taking so long so the victims would be protected. They’re full of it.

That release also appeared to be a source for a slew of digital piracy, according to a new article by Tony Ho Tran, a senior writer for Slate. “Yes, using the DOJ’s website, users are pilfering software and documents from the Epstein files,” Tran wrote. “Among other things, they’re able to activate software, download e-books, and pirate copyright reference manuals directly from what was dropped last week. While absurd, it’s a revealing illustration of how the department mishandled this release—and resulted in far more serious harm to Epstein’s victims along the way.”

Wonderful. Well done, DoJ. Not only are they dragging their feet about releases, but they also apparently don’t give a damn about the girls, now women, that were abused by Epstein and others. The head of the DoJ is a woman. Did she ever think about what it must have been like? Or is she just paid the big bucks to do what Trump wants, so they’re redacted for him, not for them? Dadgum, this pisses me off.

“It’s silly and a bit absurd, but anyone who understood the scope of what was being released ought to have seen this coming,” he continued. “Remember: These are millions of documents spanning roughly 30 years. The scale of the latest release, which also happens to be the biggest, is immense. It is piling a mountain on top of another mountain.” “Indeed, this DOJ didn’t even do the bare minimum of scanning for material in the trove that should not have been made public,” he added.

It’s a pity the victims can’t sue the DoJ. First, they’d have to find a scrappy lawyer to represent them, then expect it to take years, literally, and cost lots of money. That’s pretty much a no-go from the start. Now it’s out there. Now pirates and predators have access to them. They may have to go into hiding again. And that is just bullsh!t.

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. ‘Flooding the zone with sh!t’ still appears to be their way of coping with bad news.

Meanwhile inflation and unemployment, along with prices, are up. American citizens are being kidnapped off, and murdered on, public streets, historic buildings are being demolished, (next up, The Kennedy Center.), the Epstein files mention Trump’s name thousands of times, (Jesus is mentioned in the Bible less than a thousand times.), and all polling confirms him as the most unpopular president ever.

I’m not sure that even they have enough sh!t to cover all that.

    • It’s almost sad that it’s so predictable.

For a supposed draw down from Minnesota, I haven’t seen a damn thing. Kidnapped, murdered, disappeared.

The East Wing was bad enough and I will hold a grudge about that for a long time. Do you think he’s going to gut the Kennedy Center ands ruin it that way, or just tear it down and start over? Just the thought of tearing it down makes my chest hurt and I want to cry.

The number of times for the two different names was startling!

It’s all so much sh!t. The country is being destroyed.
