Please let things continue to go wrong for these people. The stories, wants, and needs are getting ridiculous. It’s another mark on the board for Democrats to use. Yet these people continue to try even when it’s blatantly obvious it’s going to fail. On the other hand, every minute of time wasted has a double result. The first is that there’s more delay in whatever is going on. The other is that it shows them to be the idiots they are, right out there for public viewing. From Raw Story:
Alan Dershowitz, a legal scholar and ally to President Donald Trump, sued CNN over comments made during the 2020 impeachment of Trump during his first term. According to Dershowitz, CNN defamed him to the tune of $300 million. The case has been ongoing since 2021. On Friday, however, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Dershowitz. Justin Baragona, senior reporter at The Independent, mocked Dershowitz for the ruling, noting that the appellate judge was “smacking [him] around like a little cat toy.”
Now *that* is a beautiful image to have. Smacked around like a little cat toy because he was wrong. He was full of it. But it wasted his time, and not the defense attorney’s, but his lawyer’s. This wasn’t good publicity either. It showed him as a fool, as trying to get money and being blatantly obvious about it. You know the kind. They sue just to sue and get a monetary settlement, and a lot of times it doesn’t work.
“Dershowitz, who no one disputes as a public figure, has presented no evidence that CNN’s commentators or producers acted with actual malice. To begin, CNN has offered unrefuted evidence that its commentators believed in the truth of their statements about Dershowitz; all of the journalists testified that they believed their statements were fair and accurate,” the ruling said. One of those comments includes the accusation that Dershowitz is “Dershow-nuts.”
Yuh, huh. I can’t remember anything about him, which means he’s small fry. I barely even remembered his name, so he certainly hasn’t done much else publicly. Okay, I might not have been interested in much of politics back then, until the insurrection, and THAT got my attention. I just knew Trump was an ass, and this stop the steal crap was pure and utter nonsense. Every day brought something new, and every day showed they were grasping at straws, especially when the counts were verified and companies counter-sued for defamation, which was clearly correct. I think we all could go into rants about Trump, and I’m digressing because that’s not the point of the column. So it’s short and sweet. I leave you with this thought.
Dershowitz is currently fighting another battle over pierogies. He indicated that he plans to litigate that incident as well, Axios reported.
A battle over food. That’s seriously pointless. That ranks up there with Giuliani’s press conference in front of 4 Seasons Landscaping Company, next to a crematory and a sex shop. That’s still funny! Well, we shall leave Dershowitz to wasting his time and money and move along.

So Mr. “I kept my underpants on during my massage” (like we don’t know one of the underage GIRLS could reach inside the waistband of his tighty-whities and give him a handjob!) lost at the 11th Circuit. The question now is whether he’ll appeal to SCOTUS. And if he does will they grant Cert? It only takes four justices to vote to do so which means this might not be over yet.
Given how awful Trump has been looking lately and since they seem to have already set their calendar my guess is that they’ll delay doing anything. If Trumpty dies in the months ahead that will be the end of it – one of those one sentence unsigned notices saying the petitioner’s request has been denied.
I’m hoping he won’t go to SCOTUS. The suit was a farce in the first place. And I had forgotten about Mr. Massage – how embarrassing. CNN has to keep on top of this. He doesn’t deserve a win. They do. But SCOTUS is so erratic these days, there’s no way to tell what would happen.
Dershowitz himself, being a lawyer, should know how baseless and ridiculous these suits are. My guess he’s hung around too long with the trumpie lawyers and decided to take their approach.
