Bob Good has apparently lost his primary battle by 375 votes but he’s demanding a recount and here we go again. No Republican wants to accept the results of an election they lose anymore. Donald Trump is supposedly going to debate Joe Biden on Thursday but Sean Hannity is looking to talk him out of it and Steve Bannon is trying to get him off the hook. And none other than Ronny Jackson has written not only the White House and the White House physician about Joe Biden getting drug tested, he’s cc’d the entire cabinet. Oh, and don’t forget Lauren Boebert might be out of our hair tomorrow if she loses the GOP primary in Colorado. With all that going on, we need some comic relief.

And the irony is that the only reason Burgum is there is because he’s Rupert Murdoch’s pick for Trump’s VP. The other big money donors like J.D. Vance and Marco Rubio. Poor Elise Stefanik. If we are to believe that the top three VP picks have already been named and she’s not one, then she has debased herself all this time for naught. The same can be said of Tim Scott.
But for right now, the big story is Thursday and whether or not Trump will show up to the debate. Let’s see how that one goes down. If Trump bails and there’s at least a 50% chance he might, it won’t look good. If he goes ahead and debates and flops it won’t look good. But Fox News will spin it as a glorious rout, no matter if Trump leaves five minutes into the thing. Either way, it’s a milestone to be gotten through, and then the sentencing on July 11 and then the Big Reveal of the vice presidential candidate on the 15th of July. And somewhere in there, America celebrates another birthday.

Brilliant from Nicolle Wallace. To my knowledge, no one has ever called out Trumpler like that, and now Biden has the perfect forum in which to do it. Use Nicolle’s script verbatim as soon as he gets to the microphone and keep hammering at it all evening long.
