This is in a good way. Soon you will see the reason for it. It will be worth it. You know if he reacts this way to something, it has to be good. This man can keep a straight face through literally everything. What happened? You shall see. Respect to Raw Story:

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper couldn’t keep himself together while reading the mission statement for the Trump family’s gold phone. Cooper was doing a segment about Trump-branded gold merch, including his coin, sneakers, and phone. According to Cooper, the $499 gold-plated phone reportedly started shipping nearly a year after buyers made deposits to receive it.

Ah, yes, the monstrosities. Those were sheer self-promotion, for MAGA suckers to buy. They were all hideous. Even the coin was “eh”. That one is the pure grift. The other two were hideous, and we had hoped they died a quiet death like so many other Trump failures. Apparently not. The phone is back on. But wait until you hear this!

“While originally marketed as being ‘Made in the USA,’ they’re now being touted as designed with American values in mind,” Cooper said, adding “Sorryfor letting a laugh slip before he could finish. “We should just pause and reflect on that claim for a minute: ‘Designed with American values in mind.’ I don’t know what that means. Somebody was thinking about America when they decided to hawk these?”

Ok, this is funny just to think about. If Anderson Cooper cracked up, we should probably do the same. American values in mind. We have to agree with Mr. Cooper. What on earth does that mean? A gold-plated cellular phone is not something Americans would value right now. It costs too much, and Trump’s cellular service, if there even is one, well, it would be limited. Very limited. So what’s the point of getting the phone? $499 is not cheap and not affordable right now. Trump has said point-blank that he doesn’t care about the American people. Twice, because the “I love inflation” is not giving a damn about the American people, either. The finish is rubbing off of Trump, and more people are splitting away from him every week.

He noted, “Experts say they closely resemble a phone made in China, but somehow, they were made with American values in mind.” As he turned to his panel, Cooper mocked the “American values” line, telling them, “This desk, by the way, was made with America in mind.” Political pundit Van Jones described the coins as “Kindergarten during COVID: no class.”

So here was a little interlude from the serious stories, just because it could be done. Losing Mr. Cooper on 60 Minutes is rough. The show is going to be garbage without him, and once Bari Weiss gets done with it, it will become 1 minute and change the channel. We appreciate the humor and are probably still giggling about him cracking up. What *is* this supposed to mean – built with American values in mind?

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
