Again – Where IS Waddling Orange Waldo Trump? (He Won’t Be In Court!)

I wrote about this already but I’m really starting to wonder.  To recap, on Thursday Trump’s lawyer told the judge that Trump would not appear and that the defense would not be presenting a case.  As court continued, over in Ireland Trump held a small presser where he stated he was “forced” to cut short his golf vacation/hiding out “business trip – to check on his golf properties/investments (by playing golf at them?) and hurry back to the U.S.  To “confront” his accuser E. Jean Carroll who he said was continuing to say all kinds of bad/false things and in court in front of a “Trump hating judge” blah, blah blah.

I should note that even now there’s usually a handful of folks from credible news outlets that hang around – these days in part because DeSantis is close to declaring for 2024.  Or not.  Whatever.  The point is that journalists know where he is and have some idea of who’s with him and some inkling of what he’s doing or about to do.  Well, modern telecommunications being what it is the judge in the Carroll case was told about Trump’s announcement during the day.  So when Trump’s legal team rested their case the judge decided to pin down Trump’s lead lawyer Joe “Tacopenis.”  Turns out ole Joe spoke with Trump a few minutes before heading into court.  But not since.

Here’s where something extraordinary happened.  Despite the defense having rested its case the judge, in a virtually unprecedented move to be fair granted almost three days (until 5pm on Sunday, May 7) for Trump’s lawyers to file a request to re-open proceedings so Trump could testify.  As many have said, Trump was probably bluffing and trying to set up a PR strategy and perhaps even grounds for appeal saying he’d been denied his right to “confront his accuser.”  And Judge Kaplan called Trump’s bluff.  To almost no one’s surprise the five pm deadline came and went and nothing was filed with the court.  Closing arguments will proceed as originally scheduled tomorrow.  If not late Monday, then first thing Tuesday the judge will give the jury their instructions on the applicable law and turn the case over to them so they can try and come up with a verdict.

Now, what bugged me a couple of days ago and still bugs me is the title question – just WHERE is Donald J. Trump and what is he up to?  Ursula messaged me yesterday he’d again lost his sh!t and was blowing up Truth Social with insane posts – basically the same ole same ole because it was another day ending in the letter Y.  But he can do that from anywhere with internet.  Why you ask do I keep harping on this?

Look, I’m often critical of those in journalism and believe overall it’s filled with lazy-a$$ people who will do anything to get out of having to do old-school investigative reporting.  Still, for the most part they tend to include some very basic stuff like who, what, when and WHERE.

Believe me I’ve looked each day and since that little meeting with reporters over in Ireland and no story (not that there have been many given the import of the matter) has included anything about where Trump was  or who he might be meeting with.  Up in NYC or over in Bedminster talking with his lawyers?  Back down in FL at Mar A Lago burning up the phone lines when not blasting rants on Truth Social?  Somewhere else?

WHY  THE  SECRECY?

I’m serious.  Why for three days now are journalists either totally unaware of, or at least unwilling to say just where the hell Trump is and who he might be meeting with?

Maybe I’ll wind up with egg on my face for pushing the question but it just seems weird that one of the most talked about and monitored people in the world for what, seven years now (since farting his way down the fake gold escalator at Trump Tower to announce) is seemingly nowhere to be found?

Is he in a hospital?  Perhaps even one staffed by “those nice young men with their little white coats?  IS he in some sort of witness protection all of a sudden?

That occurred to me earlier today.  I dismissed it out of hand for a while.  But bumped on it again and started thinking.  He’s going to lose (probably) the case with Carroll and be legally branded a rapist.  That will hurt to be sure, as will any financial penalty which he’ll of course appeal hoping what he hoped before things got to trial which is that Carroll (who is 79) would just die.  Thing is, Trump assumes because she’s a woman she’s dumb with no sense of business.  I’m quite certain her will is set up to ensure her heir(s) are legally able to see that her estate pursues the matter.

But this isn’t the only trouble headed for Trump.  Whether its a giant boulder rolling down the hill or an ever growing snowball he’s already under indictment in New York state.  And another civil proceeding, one that could bankrupt his beloved Trump Org. is moving along.  He’s about to be indicted in Georgia too and on criminal charges.  And Jack Smith is doing a proctoscopy using a sewer main sized scope on a variety of federal criminal charges.  Worse still is the news that broke late in the week that Smith has had a “mole” at Mar A Lago.  Trump already knows people have flipped on him and now he learns he’s had a mole working for Smith for who knows how long?

This is where things might get both weird and interesting.  Granted this is some serious speculation but here goes:

There’s more than a little evidence that over the years Trump used his real estate empire to launder money.  Not that he’s alone in that type of thing.  Had he not run for President he’d still be one of too many people doing it.  But, he’s also spent enormous sums of money on resorts that no one knows the source of.   Legitimate U.S. Banks quit loaning to him by the late 1990s.  What ties any still have is a lame attempt to claw back at least some of what he still owes them.  However there are foreign banks too including the infamous Deutsche Bank which has had a special division that has gotten increasing scrutiny from multiple governments and paid out record (in the billions) of penalties since Trump became President.  And it should be noted there was a search resulting in a whole lot of evidence boxes being carted out a couple of years ago.  Crickets since.

White collar crimes are tough to be sure.  And tracking money laundering it damned tough.  But guess who is up to their necks in all of it?  “Pootie and the Oligarchs!”  That should be the name of their band if as should happen they wind up in prison)  My point is that Trump knows people are flipping on him.  People he knows have actually been convicted of federal felonies.  Hell, he pardoned a few of them!  He still never believed the day would come when HE would be on the hot seat and actually facing federal (or state) convictions and being sent to prison.

But, and this is “bigly Yuge” both of his idiot sons told golf writers asking about all the money he was spending on golf resorts (this was fifteen years ago) when banks no longer wanted to lend to him that they were getting all the money they needed out of Russia!

Trump’s sense of denial is as we know strong but even he has to know the walls are closing in.  We also know his entire life when it suited him he’d throw any and everyone under the bus.  He flirted with disaster all those years with actual organized crime folks renting space in Trump Tower a few floors down from his Trump Org.  Again, lots of winking and nodding but prosecutors never wanted to invest the resources to nail him and them any more than other real estate magnates doing the same.  As a result Trump never faced the uncomfortable choice of turning on the mobsters to save his own a$$.

What if that’s now the case?  What if, realizing the impact of losing in court to Carroll spreads like wildfire to his other cases?  What does he have to trade to at the very least get some soft sentence, if not house arrest at his resort somewhere not nearly as bad as a prison?  “Pootie and the Oligarchs.”  That’s who.

It doesn’t matter that Putin is sick and might be dead soon.  If not cancer than cerebral lead poisoning.  There are other oligarchs owed money that would have Trump knocked off in a heartbeat.  Living on that estate right on the ocean Spec Ops people could “take care” of Trump in any number of ways without leaving a trace.  Maybe, just maybe Trump floated the idea to prosecutors through intermediaries and one or more of them tipped off Putin.  Who might have sent a very special message.

Maybe Trump is all of a sudden in fear for his life.  Not from “radical Democrats” but ruthless Russians.  And hiding, literally hiding out?

This is some crazy speculation on my part to be sure.  it might be that Trump realizes he can’t risk talking to reporters at the moment.  He’s not smart and while his PR instincts haven’t always been solid more often than not they have served him well.  Still, I think it’s weird as hell that for three days now he’s nowhere to be found, or if he is EVERY journalist is protecting that information.

So, I ask WHY?
