This is incredible. Bloomberg broke a story shortly after 11:00 a.m. PDT revealing a double digit lead against Herschel Walker, in a poll whose results had almost all been tabulated before the October 3 Daily Beast bombshell about Walker paying a girlfriend to get an abortion in 2009.
Warnock, a first-term Democrat and pastor of Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church, leads Walker by 50% to 38%, according to a poll of 1,076 likely voters taken from Sept. 30 though Oct. 4 by Survey USA for an Atlanta-based television outlet. Previous polls showed the race to be much closer or even statistically tied. […]
Walker’s support is especially weak among women, according to the poll. Although male voters were evenly split on the two candidates, women favored Warnock by a margin of 29 points. The poll, conducted for WXIA TV’s “11 Alive” news, has a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points.
It goes without saying that Walker is trying to save his own bacon by talking to Fox News and soul mate and fellow adulterer Newt Gingrich has come out in support of Walker. I wonder how many more polls we’ll see in the next four and a half weeks?

Newt Gingrich has been quoted as saying that Walker is a “remarkable person.” We don’t even want to ask what your idea of a loser looks like, Newt. We’ll just try to imagine and be content with that.
What we’re hearing: Top GOP operatives have been monitoring Christian Walker’s videos for months now, nervously hoping that his generalized pleas for men to be better fathers wouldn’t turn into specific comments about his own absent and allegedly menacing dad.
- But Christian Walker rejected the notion he was to blame for the firestorm: “Don’t put this on me. This is a candidate issue. Not a me issue. I wouldn’t have spoken out if there weren’t all these lies every day.”
Georgia-based conservative commentator Erick Erickson told Axios: “Republicans can dismiss the Daily Beast as a liberal publication. They can’t dismiss Christian Walker as easily … particularly because Christian had been perceived as supporting both Trump and his dad, and now clearly doesn’t.”

What to watch: Polling averages in Georgia have shown a consistent split-ticket dynamic with the Senate and gubernatorial races, owing in large part to candidate quality.

Republican Gov. Brian Kemp is projected to win by five points over Democrat Stacey Abrams, while Walker has remained in a statistical tie with Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock.
This is one race which has not been dull and it is not going to be dull, as we go into the final stretch.
Both of these things are true. 1) This is great news that should be celebrated, as it means we can beat Walker and others of his ilk. 2) It changes nothing about the vote tally, so if you’re worried, get out there and support Warnock and every other Dem running out there.
Why in Gods name would ANYONE vote for this puke, Hershel Walker?? That dude looks like he’s stoned every time he’s on TV, even before he opens his mouth! And when he does open his mouth, what the hell is he saying?? It simply amazes me how people can support and vote for this misfit!!!
Well, that is certainly good news.
I don’t like Walker much, but in many ways he is just another victim of Trump.
Perhaps the things he has experienced this year will spur him to get the help he so desperately needs.
Whatever talents he had on the football field, off of it he was a piece of shit LONG before Trump became nationally known. As for the gender gap I’m not surprised. Walker has used his celebrity to be a classic “fuck em and forget em” (including offspring that resulted from trysts) who was abusive to those with whom he had actual relationships. I’m sure there are still groupies that would bang him in a heartbeat, hoping to enjoy a bit of time in fancy digs and maybe score a little swag. But most women aren’t groupies. And even many (not enough) guys can’t overlook Walker’s antics no matter what he did for the Georgia Bulldogs.
