My hands are shaking on the keys. Can it be true?
I've seen enough: Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R) has lost renomination to state Sen. Chuck Edwards (R) in the #NC11 GOP primary.

Maybe Great Birnam wood has just come to Dunsinaine. Oh, wait. This is what Cawthorn did to Great Birnam wood.

Please please please let Madison Cawthorn's concession be a handwritten note so we all can enjoy it even more.

It’s going to take a while for this to sink in. Yes, Edwards is projected to win and no, I’ve never seen Dave Wasserman call it and be wrong, this would be a first. But it’s just so wonderful that it’s hard to believe. Cawthorn is the biggest loser in either chamber of Congress. Him going, after his catastrophic one term, is such a blessing. My God, I feel like I can breathe again.
Democracy ain’t dead. The old gal is bit arthritic, but she ain’t down yet.

I can’t bring myself to believe Cawthorne conceded. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he winds up UN-conceding. He’s enough of a piece of shit to do such a thing. For those who might think back to 2000 and Al Gore’s retraction keep in mind he had only done so privately on the phone with W. He was preparing to take the stage to make a public concession when the frantic “DON’T” message finally got to him.
If I had ten bucks to spare I’d bet that Cawthorne retracts his concession. I won’t believe he’s out of it until the NC ballots are printed up. In my perfect world he will decide to mount a write in campaign which could, maybe split the GOP vote enough to allow a Democrat to slip into that seat for one term.
It sounds good to me. Did you hear what he said to Edwards? All I saw was a tweet that he had conceded from a New York Times reporter.
