It was a busy and strange year in political news, no question about that. As I look at all these clips the memories flow back. So much happened that I actually forgot a lot of these episodes.

What Navarro is saying is alarming. The problem we have here is that our side of the cultural divide listens to this nonsense and thinks it’s a joke — which it is. The problem is that we don’t fight back hard enough. The disinformation is going out there, poisoning the political discourse in this country and essentially we’re ignoring it. That must stop.

Louise Linton shows up, Steve Mnuchin’s wife. You’re going to love this. Linton went to the same law school that I did, the University of West Los Angeles. The school was a very good one back in the day. Long story short, it was founded by Justice Bernard Jefferson, one of the first black men to graduate from Harvard and the first black man to become a member of the California Bar. He was friends with Martin Luther King and after a conversation with Dr. King, Jefferson and two school teacher friends of his in Culver City decided to found a night law school, catering primarily to black people, but also to POCs and women generally.
It was a good school. I have no complaints. Justice Jefferson died in his eighties, the school went into other hands. It was disastrously mismanaged and I mean disastrously. It lost its WASC accreditation, which means that the school no longer qualified for federal student loans. We’re talking financial death here.
I kept in touch with a few of my old professors and they all jumped ship because the place turned into a total freak show. And then along comes Louise Linton and she’s their star alumnus.
If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I would never have believed it.
I believe Linton went to law school to be able to discuss matters of weight with her hubby’s friends. Or something.

What a stroll down memory lane. All this nuttiness and more was packed into one year.
When the smoke clears at the end of the year we will either have saved our system of government & the planet from climate catastrophe, or say hello to fascism & the end of our species. Time to get ur heads straight, get up off ur arses & go vote. If 93 million stay home like last time & are too damn stupid or lazy to know what’s going on…it’s over. No Virginia it’s not hyperbole. It’s a fact. Arrogance & ignorance are a lethal mix. Neither Santa nor Jesus will appear to save our collective deluded rear ends. Let’s hope we decide to live.
Thank you, I couldn’t say it better myself. These people don’t understand what’s at stake and a lot of dummies love the show biz factor that Trump bought to politics. They could watch that all night. They’re unaware of the forces of evil that came in with Trump that were ruining democracy as fast as they could.
Thanks Ursula for all the articles. Studying the rise of fascism in Europe & Hitler makes my blood run cold to see a similar zeitgeist here. Hitler was raised Catholic & received the support of the pope for his murderous rampage. The GOP with Herr Donald is using exactly the same playbook as Hitler used. My five uncles,(all dead now), fought in WW2, & I grew up knowing them all. If it happens here, there won’t be any USA to come to our rescue. Our national IQ test will be pass/fail, & failure equals our doom. Keep posting. Silence is the worst option. Time for our leaders to realize they are standing on the proverbial beaches of Normandy. It’s win or its the end. Cue up Jim Morrison. I’ll celebrate the year when the dems gain seats in congress & turn this suicide mission around. Then you can probably find me clutching the toilet promising God I will stick to moderation. Ha.

Hint to Mo: REAL MEN don’t go into hiding and let their families lie for them to keep from being served legal documents.
#22: Ironically, Cornwallis feigned illness to avoid meeting Washington. He ended up turning his sword over to Washington’s second-in-command. Sounds like Cornwallis would’ve made a good GOPer.
