I never thought I’d see the day when a U.S. president would outdo the butchery of Andrew Jackson’s Trail of Tears, but I might have known that if anybody could bottom that, it would be Donald Trump. Yet another Trump book is out in the world and this one gives us the happy news that the Mango Moron contemplated sending COVID-19 victims to Guantanamo.

Can you even imagine the logistics of such a thing? Forget the morality, just contemplate the actual doing of this, taking people from their sick beds and transporting them in that condition to an island prison. This is dystopian sci fi, just like the worst of the Trump administration always was.
There you go, send them to Puerto Rico, a place he never cared a rat’s ass about, what’s the problem with sending people he finds inconvenient there? They’ll fit right in.
It’s a good thing Trump didn’t know that Reagan thought of something like this, or that might have galvanized him into doing it for sure.
It’s lucky that COVID-19 didn’t occur in only a certain portion of the population, like HIV, or Trump would have made zero effort for a vaccine. If it was the gays or any group he found expendable, which is everybody other than wealthy Republicans, he would have happily let them be decimated.
I shudder to think what else we’re about to find out. It’s only Monday.

But hardly surprising. What I find surprising is this is only coming out now. When he was trying to stop Americans from cruise ships from coming back onto land I figured we were in deep doo-doo. Gitmo? Yeah, at the very least that had to be on his radar.
If Trump had any positive qualities at all, we could have considered some positive benefit to the idea of a turning Gitmo into a hospital and quarantining the Covid cases with a hope to saving the vast majority of the 617,000 that have died. It would have been a thought if his numbers-worry pertained to reducing the number of exposed Americans. However, we know he was not worried about us; he was worried about HIS numbers.
Still a bad idea. When he was proposing, it was already spreading and not being tested.
Of course by itself it was a bad idea. The idea presupposes a comprehensive testing program akin to South Korea’s.
You have GOT to be kidding, Dana. “Positive qualities” when discussing Trump? The first confirmed case of COVID at Guantanamo came in March of 2020–and that was a Navy sailor.
“Positive qualities” and Trump is akin to “At least Mussolini made sure the trains ran on time” or “Hitler couldn’t be all that bad because he had a dog.”

They were willing to let people in “blue states” die, because it would improve their chance of winning…and then people in “red states” died in the same kinds of numbers. (They still are, because so many of them refuse masks and vaccines, and so many others *can’t get vaccinated* because they’re not easily available to them.)
You HAVE to know by now how we generally think about tic-tac breath mints, and how Donald Dumbass was, in his mind, as always, smart about scurvy things, like abusing the personal space of younger girls and women that caught his eye at any age, he actually announced when really young girls caught his eye, how great they would be after a couple years … all things that make my skin crawl … and should have immediately excluded the lard ass Pedo from any chance of being the pretend president he was …
All these what-ifs show how really dangerous DJT was, his unhinged ordering up a warehouse of meds designed for regular patients in other disease problems NOT useful for Covid at all, simply because someone, somewhere, said that it would work against the Covid … he stole a shipment of 250,000 face masks from a Germany shipment, hid them in a secret warehouse, one of the reasons so many frontline workers died from the Covid was because Trump was playing games with their lives to make money on masks and other supplies, like his slow start on the Covid, in spite of all the data Obama handed to him on Pandemic’s, closed down any lab processes existing, because the dumb ass, in his blinding brilliance, wanted to cancel everything Obama …
Of course, the Republicans were well aware of Obama’s warnings on pandemics, and yet, let fart face continue with his mission to kill 600,000 Americans, because testing would not only find hotspots, but LOOK BAD on Trump’s watch … [the statement he did not want to panic the population with the dangers of Covid] was such a stupid excuse for delaying any help at all for the frontlines …
Without even a mention of injecting bleach to flush out the virus, Trump is failing so fast now losing it about dumb things, calling people names again and I wonder if he can handle the last words uttered by the Judge up on that chair as he/she slaps the gavel down, right after saying .. “Mr. Trump, you have been found guilty on 20 charges of criminal activities against the United States of America, and are sentenced to 25 years in Federal prison without possibility of parole, the Marshal’s will escort you a changing room to the left of my desk, where you will surrender all keys, jewelry, electronics, coinage, cash and billfold, for placement in a lockbox, to be returned to you at the end of your sentence, you will be given a bright orange jumpsuit and shoes to wear as you are delivered to prison immediately …. bam!!

Gitmo, or more formally Guantanamo Bay is a harbor – NOT an island. Perhaps the word “Bay” should have tipped Trump off. Or maybe he didn’t know that Gitmo is on the southeastern part of CUBA. Maybe President Dipshit thought Gitmo was on Puerto Rico.
It drives Cuba absolutely fucking nuts that we have Marines and Navy there. And it drives plenty of us in the U.S. Nuts that that prison for “detainees” was ever established there, much less that it remains open. Since it is, I for one think it should be put to proper use as the place to house members of the Trump Crime Family as well as the hoards of others who aided him in his corrupt administration.
In any case, what matters is that Trump even thought about such a thing as shipping off people with Covid to some place like the Gitmo prison. He is truly among the most despicable people to have ever existed.
Some big time movie director should take the worst parts of Trump presidency 2020 and do an ambitious film on it.
