If Kevin McCarthy has had his Come to Jesus moment, we haven’t heard about it yet. All is quiet on the western front tonight. You can hear the proverbial pin drop. McCarthy has been asked to comment about Marjorie Taylor Greene’s latest batshittery about how mask wearing is analogous to the holocaust. Crickets. McCarthy is going to have to come to the realization that Greene is an out of control troll, exactly like her buddy Matt Gaetz — or she has some serious mental problems. Maybe both. Nobody sane acts like Greene, let alone within the strictures of being a United States congresswoman, as Nancy Pelosi pointed out last week.

Maybe somebody should tell McCarthy that silence is construed as acceptance. That evil flourishes when good men do nothing. Or how about, she’s in your conference, she’s your responsibility. Fix it. I daresay the latter comment has already come from Mitch McConnell or will be coming shortly.

I hesitate to say this, but if McCarthy doesn’t excise her like a cancer from the GOP body politic, she will only get worse. I don’t want to think about what that might look like
That is a good point. Greene doesn’t bother to make it a dog whistle any more, she just says out loud what the rest of them know the party is thinking.
And that’s the bottom line. There is no place where this is tolerated, no office, no store, no school, no auto repair shop, no nail salon, nothing. Greene is running amok. There is nothing partisan in what she says or does. She’s a sociopath and a Trump sycophant. The GOP needs to get into the operating room and remove her, stat.

If you ever wondered how awful it would be if Ann Coulter were somehow elected to Congress you don’t need to wonder anymore. And that’s not the worst of it. Coulter, who has Trumpian levels of “LOOK AT ME GODDAMNIT!” syndrome has got to be bat-shit cray at some other blonde Republican now being the darling of (even for conservatives) the lunatic fringe so who knows what Coulter will come up with to get some attention again. But I think it’s a given she will pop up and the thought of these two competing for attention is disgustingly appalling thing to have to contemplate.
It’s already too late for McCarthy. The moment he threw with Trump post-defeat, his fate was sealed. His lack of leadership skills all but guaranteed that.
I agree Bare, we have not yet seen the flash-bang of change the GOP is going to have before they can be comfortable and survive at all … the awful smell in Congress will be even worse before the GOP gets done defecating on themselves, the stragglers will not be able to regroup as the Grand Old Party for sure, with so many losers acting like the pigs they truly are …

I would have thought that Soros’s laser satellite would have toasted her by now. But besides from the usual off the right field foul pole rant, I’m still trying to wrap my head around how so many members of Congress could vote against the Anti-Asian Violence Act.
What truly boggles my mind is how no one who ever voted for these leeches ever, ever watches then what they do or how they vote in congress and the house. Every one of them all aghast about the recovery plan offered by Biden, but not one damn one of them offered so much as a chirp when Donny rode into town and demanded 3 trillion for his richest billionaire buddies!!! Thank you forgetful American taxpayers!
