What say we have some good, clean, Christian fun right now? I mean, we come here everyday and read about the woes of the world and how Donald Trump has managed to trash the country more today than he did yesterday, so we need a break, right? In that vein, let’s look at vacation pictures of Jerry Falwell, Jr. Here is a tweet of an Instagram post that Falwell put up — incredibly — and then immediately took down, but not before it was caught by a religion reporter for the Houston Chronicle. Alas for Falwell, the internet never forgets.

Click on the tweet so that you can get a good look at Falwell and the Married With Children clone on his arm. (I wonder if wife Becki has seen this shot?) And here’s another.

You’ll need to click on this as well, to get the glazed eyes and barroom tan. Or maybe that’s just yacht lighting. I assure you, I don’t know. I’ve been on some sail and power boats in my life, but not the kind of toys Falwell has.

Maybe he’s hoping to turn orange, like his idol?

He also posted and then deleted this epic, “Trailer Park Boys.” My advice is that unless you have a strong stomach, just watch the first fifteen seconds or so to get confirmation of Falwell being plastered, and then turn it off. This is obscene, not in the sense of graphic nudity and such, in the sense of it being a documentary on degeneracy. It’s one of those things you cant’ un-see, let’s it that way. Viewer beware, you have been warned.

Seriously, if these are the kind of people who are going to be in heaven, I’ll take my chances in Hell. Maybe I can live next to Justin Trudeau. I understand from Peter Navarro that he’s got a place there.

UPDATE: The video has been removed, not surprisingly. Look on the bright side, if you’ve seen Jerry Falwell’s undercarriage, you’ve had enough unappealing sights for one day. My prayer is that the Lincoln Project got their hands on it before it went away forever.

Now back to Falwell, I positively love it that he feels the need to explain “black water” in his glass and not the more obvious issue of the way he’s dressed — or maybe he didn’t know his pants were open? Ya spose?

You’ve heard of virtue signalling, well, this is vice signalling. And not for the first time. Oh, heavens no. Politico:

“We’re not a school; we’re a real estate hedge fund,” said a senior university official with inside knowledge of Liberty’s finances. “We’re not educating; we’re buying real estate every year and taking students’ money to do it.”

Liberty employees detailed other instances of Falwell’s behavior that they see as falling short of the standard of conduct they expect from conservative Christian leaders, from partying at nightclubs, to graphically discussing his sex life with employees, to electioneering that makes uneasy even those who fondly remember the heyday of the late Rev. Jerry Falwell Sr., the school’s founder and Falwell Jr.’s father, and his Moral Majority.

In January, the Wall Street Journal reported that in the run-up to Trump’s presidential campaign, [Michael] Cohen hired John Gauger, a Liberty University employee who runs a private consulting firm, to manipulate online polls in Trump’s favor. Not previously reported is the fact that, according to a half-dozen high-level Liberty University sources, when Gauger traveled to New York to collect payment from Cohen, he was joined by Trey Falwell, a vice president at Liberty. During that trip,Trey posted a now-deleted photo to Instagram of around $12,000 in cash spread on a hotel bed, raising questions about his knowledge of Gauger’s poll-rigging work. Trey did not respond to requests for comment.

Jerry Falwell Jr. responded to more than two dozen written questions, defending his actions and criticizing the reporting of this article. “I fear that the true information I am sharing in good faith will simply not make any difference. And will only result in more questions,” Falwell said. He declined to answer subsequent questions.

Falwell is another one who thinks the press is the enemy of the people. There’s an expression: every movement starts out as a cause, turns into a business and then becomes a racket. Jerry Falwell Sr. may well have had a legitimate cause. I wouldn’t know. But there is zero question that at this point that his namesake son has turned it into a racket.

  1. I need one of those hooks embalmers in ancient Egypt used during the mummification process – for those who don’t know they removed the corpse’s brain through the nose with a specially designed hook!

  2. He’d have done better saying that was iced coffee in the glass. (It doesn’t explain why both of them have unzipped trousers. Or why hers are short enough to expose her fanny if she bends over.)

    • “black water” is an actual thing – it’s spring water with “fulvic minerals” or “fulvic acid” in it. It looks like it needs to be run through a high-quality filter, and it’s probably not good for your metabolism.

  3. No, Ursula, I can assure you that his father was a self-righteous asshole. He’s just an effing idiot lesser scion of the W mold.

  4. The irony with these folks is they get their panties in a wad, he he, over sex when jesus said little about that, while feeling fine with self righteous hypocrisy, which he preached against over & over. Most of their ‘morality’ & cultural rules are based on Paul, who was a rule obsessed Pharisee prior to falling off his donkey, on his arse. Hey here’s some grape juice, specially made to get you into paradise today.

    • The whole point about Paul falling off his donkey is that he experienced a major transformation. Paul post donkey principle: God’s law is written in the heart. Rules are not the point; consideration of others is the main point. That is the message of the “meat sacrificed to idols” message.

It’s not that guys like Falwell rely on Paul per se. They pick and choose, holding others to higher expectation than they hold themselves.

      • I think Scott’s point was that Paul was no different in his BEHAVIOR following his “conversion.” Prior to the conversion episode, he’s described as a largely self-righteous Jew who obeys the Law to the very letter of the Law (no exceptions for any reason unless God had allowed for the exception) who enjoyed persecuting the new “Christian” sect (for Christianity’s first 3 centuries, it was generally only viewed as a form of Judaism) for its numerous “infractions” against “pure” Jewish traditions (most notably, in its preaching about the Messiah’s having come). Then, of course, came the “conversion,” after which the renamed Paul became as zealous in his newfound “Christianity” as he had been in his previous Judaism.

And, if you compare the Gospels’ teachings (ie, the words of Jesus Himself) with the Epistles (most of which were written directly by Paul or attributed to Paul–possibly through a scribe/secretary), you’ll note that most of the major “dos and don’ts” of Christianity seem to have been the work of Paul and his influence on the early Church as opposed to the actual words and deeds of Jesus. It’s worth remembering that the early Church was far more interested in the entire Passion narrative than the things like the Sermon on the Mount or any of the parables or the miracles or the entire Nativity; the Passion is one of the few points that is mentioned in all four Gospels while the Nativity only receives any detail in Luke (for all the current “Jesus is the reason for the season”/”Keep Christ in Christmas”/”No ‘Happy Holidays’ for me” garbage, the early Christians had almost no interest in the birth of Jesus). Basically, Paul retained a lot of the old Jewish Law, giving it a fresh-new “Christian” perspective when necessary notably with the dietary laws; “Christian” prisoners would routinely be fed slop that wasn’t kosher but most of these prisoners still followed the dietary law and so faced starving to death so Paul said it was more sinful to allow yourself to die than eating pork (Jewish prisoners would generally be fed a kosher diet but most authorities didn’t understand this new Christian system; Jews didn’t believe that the Messiah had come but this new group said the Messiah had come).

        • Yes indeed Christianity is basically a Jewish sect. There should never be a trace of antisemitism among Christians. It is also true that Paul retained his manic zeal after conversion, only now in service to Christianity. Whether early Christians had interest in the birth of Jesus seems irrelevant to the discussion, especially given the context that they all expected to be in heaven within that living generation. They did not even bother writing the gospels until they realized that maybe they might all actually die and they needed to record the events that happened thirty years before. Paul’s letter to the Galatians was likely written before Mathew and Mark, wherein he wrote, “We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. https://www.biblegateway.com/blog/2016/02/when-was-each-book-of-the-bible-written/

Where did Paul ever say it was more sinful to allow yourself to die than eating pork? The Falwell types are Levitical (Heavy law and consequences) toward others, but partially Pauline toward themselves (no law or consequences for us) all while conveniently ignoring this from Paul, “Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not!”

  5. Public Enema #10: Jerry Falwell Jr. What’s dung is dung and cannot be undung.

From the demented demon sperm of Jerry Falwell comes his awful offspring
There’s something about inherited wealth that requires serious social investigation., Not only does family money get chopped apart as it passes from degeneration to another degeneration, it has great potential for self-destruction.

  6. The reason he did this was to make his friends wife not feel so self conscious about being pregnant and not able to button her pants! He was doing the same thing in this split second to make her laugh and feel better!! If you have close friends, these are some of the crazy things you do!! Why have a dirty mind and make this something it is not!! I can see this pool boy after being dropped, his true colors coming out!!! She was dead wrong to have an affair period! You can tell he is a lying little pool boy, just to get money from a woman and her family because he had it all planned out!!! He is just lying and getting deeper and deeper with his lies!! If Jerry liked what was going on, why would he be sick enough to lose 80 pounds?? Judge not all you perfect people out there!! Jerry and his family have helped thousands of students and families! God did not put us here to be perfect, but learn from our mistates! Sometimes we just take to much for granted. We should all ask for forgiveness for our sins and not repeat them! God is a forgiving Father✝️

  7. Blackmail served cold? Maybe Jerry Falwell Jr self destructed because he lost in a game with the Master Trickster DJT. Mr. Falwell indeed looks very very unhappy in this photo, yes, like he just ate the sandwich. Blackmail has been the speculated reason for his throwing Evangelical support to DJT. Like the rest of the Republican Senate-what skeletons are in their locked closets? If DJT has the key to all their closets it explains away a lot of illogical actions by formerly somewhat rational Republicans. Frankly I feel sorry for him, but I’m waiting for bartenders to come up with a new drink – The Jerry Falwell Jr.
