Good evening, all. This guy. He is in the middle of all these scandals, yet refuses to pull out of the race for his position. Any smart person would have bowed out at this point. But Miller isn’t smart. He can’t be with all this crap hitting him. He’s just shrugging everything off like he’s made of Teflon. It’s only hearsay at this point, so he thinks he has nothing to worry about and he’ll be proved innocent. He’s not worried, as far as we can tell, so he keeps going.
What is it with people in positions of power getting hit by scandals of importance to think they’ll be coming out smelling like roses? We saw it didn’t help Noem and Bondi. Those are two prime examples of scandals that *did* stick. It took long enough to get Noem out. Have you heard anything about them lately?
And then there’s this, with respect to Raw Story:
A Trump-endorsed MAGA Republican facing domestic abuse allegations drew swift backlash after touting a recognition for his support of mothers and “the family unit as a whole.” Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) shared a post on social media showing a smiling image of himself with an “A” grade from Moms for America Action. “Thank you @momsforamerica for this recognition,” Miller wrote Monday. “Supporting mothers and the family unit as a whole is supporting American values. That’s why I joined @RepLuna in her efforts to allow proxy voting for new mothers in Congress.”
And here’s a reminder of something else he did. His lawyer published some information online to show documents to prove Miller was innocent, but that showed a nude picture of his 2-year-old daughter. Why was that put up? What purpose did it serve? Because that’s running very close to the edge of child abuse. How could they forget about that? The picture should never have been put up online, and it should only be shown to a judge. Damn, son, how could you do that??! Mothers everywhere would be outraged about the exposure of their child.
Miller just keeps going! He is showing no remorse whatsoever. He’s not concerned. He believes he is right and there was no abuse. Which is correct? Did his wife run, or was she just taking a vacation with their little girl while Max Miller is campaigning? Because there’s a whole lot we *don’t* know. Either way, he should not be running for office. He should have very little support with that hanging over his head. Even Trump has called and asked him to drop out, which makes sense because Trump is terrified about the midterms and would prefer a more MAGA, no-scandals nominee.
Which is it? Did he abuse them or not? The information available to the public doesn’t say anything one way or the other. If he is so defiant about this, could the accusations be lies? Because if so, that’s going to get some people in trouble for lying. If it *is* true, why is he so obstinate? It seems so simple on the surface, but once you start digging in, it’s a mess. Max Miller is not giving up his race for the House seat. We’ll see how this develops as time goes on. And for tonight’s entertainment, here are a couple of comments from the same Raw Story:
American Bridge communications director Monica Venzke responded in a social media post with a string of question marks, while Capitol Hill reporter Julian Andreone of Drop Site News asked his followers: “WHAT for America??” //// “Certainly a choice to post about this,” journalist Timmy Facciola posted. //// Retired reporter Darrel Rowland told followers the post was “Not the Onion.” ///// Politics and elections writer Drew Savicki joked, “Starting my own organization called Moms Against America.”
This organization *has* to be aware of what’s hanging over Miller’s head, and still gave him the award. What were they thinking? Trying to help Max clear his name or something? Because it backfired all over the place. He’s almost the last person who should have been given this award, in terms of everything that has come out. What a wonderful world (country?) we live in.
