It looks like some Republicans are not doing very well since their constituents opened their eyes. They are making it plain whenever possible. This is not a good thing for the candidates. When someone *always* has hecklers/protestors in the audience, it does not go well. Honestly, they deserve everything they get. We are all *well* aware of the behavior of Republicans in Congress. They do what he says, and Trump stomps all over them with glee.
It seems likely that more Republican Candidates may face the same thing. We would like this and accept it. There is no support for violence against anyone, but expressing your freedom of speech is a whole different animal. Republicans are definitely figuring out there are no roses and no wine ahead of them. No, it’s going to be a lot of hard work to prove themselves and hope they get elected. It should not have taken them so long to figure out that the country is in trouble, mostly because of Trump, and they are the majority party, so the blame is going to them because they’re easier to get to, with all the security around Trump.
Let’s hope that when Democrats are “in charge”, we can improve things, not make them worse. Worse is somewhere we don’t want to go. We know it’s dangerous because we never know when the shoe is going to drop. There are certainly going to be problems in the future, but it’s all nebulous right now. We haven’t even had midterms yet. We need to get through those first and then start planning, as long as we have some ideas.

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) faced a “chorus of boos” and was shouted down by a rowdy state fair crowd in his own state. On Saturday, Marshall attended a debate against his Democratic opponent, Adam Hamilton, during the Kansas State Fair. However, the crowd kept giving him the business. As the debate started, the crowd began chanting “No more Trump!” alongside scattered cries of ‘U-S-A,'” reported local journalist Derek Zimmerman-Guyer in a post on X. When Marshall was introduced, the crowd erupted into a loud wave of boos.
Doesn’t that warm your heart? Marshall may never live that down. We don’t know if it’s happened only one time, but just like “No Kings” started small, it can grow into something big. Let’s hope it does for Kansas, because then it would have a chance to go national. There is no problem with heckling a Republican, especially because they’ll never admit they screwed up.
This was quite the rowdy crowd. There was a comment in the article about a couple of buses that came to the fair, and a *lot* of them were in the audience. This is a problem. For Republicans. They are losing the young adults and, if my memory serves me correctly, the Christian voters, as well. That part is interesting. One would not expect a Christian voter to be progressive. Now, mind you, no complaints regarding that! You can have a religious affiliation and still be interested in politics, and still be progressive. It’s your decision and no one else’s.

WHAM. It’s impressive that Marshall made it through the debate at all. He is obviously *not* well liked in that Kansas area. Will he take this as a hint and rethink what he’s doing? … naaah. He doesn’t seem to be that bright. Yet another Congressman who’s there to warm a seat, get a paycheck, and vote for whatever Trump wants done. Bah.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love.
