This man excels at putting his foot in his mouth. He’s amazing, and not in a good way. Has there ever been a candidate who is such a hot mess? All he’s doing is fluffing up his campaign and himself. Once again it’s “What was Trump *thinking*?” Oh, right, Trump doesn’t think. Trump is intelligent in one single way, and that’s his grifting. Everything else is bluff and charisma.

The candidate’s lack of intelligence is showing. The only thing he seems to be good for is ridicule. And he’s an embarrassment to the Republican Party. He’s bombing in a spectacular fashion and hasn’t figured it out yet. It started with begging for money. It wasn’t just support my campaign, no, it was begging.

He doesn’t realize he’s humiliating himself. Or he may know and not care, strange as that would be. So, he has to do Trump proud, since that’s how he got the nomination in the first place. That means attack the opposition, no matter how poorly it’s done. He would be better off discussing what he intends to do in Congress rather than making attacks that fail. But Trump is about attacks, so he has to follow the leader.

Ken Paxton tried one of those attack ads last night when he was speaking at Trump-a-palooza. It was something ridiculous. It was far off base. It made no sense. Let’s hear it, with gratitude, from Raw Story:

Speaking at President Donald Trump’s Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Paxton again accused Talarico of claiming there were “six genders” before declaring, “This guy is really obsessed with transitions. He wants to transition your kids.” Paxton has made Talarico’s previous comments about sex and gender a focus of his Senate campaign.

Talarico, for his part, has attempted to clear up the comments he originally made during a 2021 Texas House debate when he said that modern science recognized “six” biological sexes, not six genders. “Obviously I didn’t say it correctly,” Talarico told Fox News on Wednesday. “There are not six sexes; there are two.”

Yes, that’s what’s important for Congress. Multiple genders and transitioning. There are much better things to talk about than transitioning. How about the Forever Iran War, the cost of living, things like that- things that are important for the country and Congress, not something spoken incorrectly? He has such a narrow focus that actually being elected and in Congress would be one hell of an eye-opener.

This guy was impeached! He wasn’t smart enough to keep things quiet!  He absolutely does not belong in Congress. He doesn’t even need to say the word Congress, let alone be a member! His thinking is shallow and petty, which, again, is like Trump. Paxton is a catastrophe on legs. There are not enough appropriate words to describe him.

And now for a bit from another Raw Story article, with thanks:

As Republicans tried to rally around President Donald Trump at the midterm convention in Dallas, MS NOW’s Chris Jansing went across town to a food drive event hosted by Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico — and met some longtime Republicans who are crossing the aisle. One person interviewed was Dorothy Burton, founder of Christians in Public Service. //// “Why not Ken Paxton?” asked Jansing

“Because he’s trash,” said Burton. //// “That’s a strong word,” said Jansing. //// “That’s an honest word,” said Burton. “He is a disgrace. He’s a disgrace to my party. He’s a disgrace to humanity. And he’s a disgrace.” //// “Disgrace, corruption,” Jansing relayed back to Menendez. “Those are the kinds of words that we hear often from the campaign, and we hear from the candidate himself.”

Now aren’t those words lovely to hear? He’s a disgrace. Republicans will be crossing the aisle. Oof. That’s not something you want to hear about a representative of the Party. That’s something to make you reconsider where your loyalties lie, at least for this election. Paxton is some piece of work. Yes, you may be tired of hearing about him, but the man does things in public that are not good for him. He’s ridiculous. He’s slime. We keep up with him just to see how low he can go. He’s moving down, down, down. And Talarico is doing things for Texas, because people need help. We need him in office. Let’s do this.

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
