Wow. Just wow. *No one* is thinking before they speak. They just let fly. This does not bode well. Everyone needs lessons in public speaking. No one is immune to criticism. Why don’t they consider consequences? Is that too difficult? They are going to drive us batty. It’s nearly incomprehensible with all the ridiculous errors lately. Appreciation to Raw Story:

Social media influencer Dan Bilzerian shocked TMZ on Wednesday when he used a racial epithet in a conversation about his congressional opponent, Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL). Bilzerian has reportedly filed paperwork to challenge Fine in the Florida congressional race and made several comments during a live interview when he was challenged by TMZ executive producers Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere.

This does not bode well. When you resort to slurs and epithets, it shows a lack of thinking and using whatever word pops into your head when speaking. It’s not a good way to make a point, and it is highly likely to backfire. You’ll lose your audience right away. And they won’t come back. Here’s hoping this guy’s audience is now tanking, although it might not be, because there are still people in this country who think nothing of it and support it.

You called your opponent ‘this fat Jew,'” Levin said. “So, he’s not from Israel, but you called a guy in Florida ‘this fat Jew.’ How is that not antisemitic?” Bilzerian replied with a bizarre response. “Well, he’s a Jewish supremacist,” Bilzerian said. “He puts Israel before America, and I think that he should be tried for treason.”

Whoa. Hello, extreme RWNJ. People like this really exist. Does he even understand what he’s saying, or is he parroting words from someone else? If so, they could be worse than he is. You just don’t do this. Then adding “tried for treason”? That sentence is even more of a “where did *that* come from”. This is stunning. Absolutely stunning.

Levin pushed back on his response during the clash. He asked Bilzerian if he had a Black friend he didn’t like, and whether he would use a racial slur on that person. “Is Jew the same as n—-?” Bilzerian said, as someone in the TMZ newsroom audibly gasped. “Because one is a slur and one is describing a religion, so you can’t compare the two.” Charles Latibeaudiere, who is Black, described why using that racial slur was problematic. Bilzerian then tried to argue that “people are too sensitive.”

Yea no. We are beyond that, but maybe it’s just “mostly” as opposed to “all”. This is right on the edge of unbelievable. They use slurs to boost themselves up as if they’re better than everyone else, but it makes them look petty and small. There’s no effort required to use the words. There’s no effort to say something worth listening to. Why bother with them, then? Too sensitive. Bah.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of elderly, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
