I know I’m going to be accused of being mean spirited over enjoying news that Kristi Noem’s spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin having a sad because no RWNJ outlet will hire her. Guilty as charged. People who do real wrong, even if it’s not criminal deserve to be punished and from where I sit McLaughlin caused a lot of harm to a lot of people while selling Noem’s (and Miller’s) brand of cruelty. Noem as you know got fired so Tricia went to Fox News where she might as well have already been on staff. They don’t want her! Neither it seems do other known RWNJ outlets.
McLaughlin is bad enough in her own right, but there’s even more. This Daily Mail article reminds us she wasn’t fired for being an awful person or even hawking Team Trump’s cruelty as Noem’s spokesperson. McLaughlin’s husband is as much a P.O.S. as she is and he’s coming under some scrutiny as Trump looks for scapegoats. Noem as you recall got fired for saying Trump signed off on that glitzy $220 million ad campaign. The one that promoted Noem as much as DHS. It didn’t take much digging to learn that hundreds of thousands were funneled to a subcontractor who just so happened to be McGlauhlin’s husband!
McLaughlin left DHS under a dark cloud in February after a report detailed how her husband Ben Yoho secretly benefited from a no-bid, taxpayer-funded contract to produce border control ads featuring Noem.
McLaughlin was a Fox stalwart during her time at DHS, but her history with the network has done little to help her cause in the wake of Noem’s spectacular sacking by Donald Trump, sources said.
‘Fox is pretty picky, and they don’t like to deal with drama,’ one insider told the Daily Mail.
At the center of the brewing storm is McLaughlin’s husband, Yoho, whose Strategy Group company received hundreds of thousands of dollars to produce an ad campaign featuring Noem on horseback at Mount Rushmore in October 2025.
I got a kick out of the part in there about Fox not liking to deal with drama. They LOVE drama, but only if they create it and can control it. This however is something else and with the WH not defending McLaughlin or hubby Yoho-ho-and-a-bottle-of-corruption is reason to take a pass. Fox has found itself shelling out huge money over time. Bill O’Reilly. Roger Ailes. The Dominion lawsuit settlement. All (and more) problems created in-house. Could it be some common sense has taken root with Lachlin Murdoch now running the day-to-day? Certainly Fox doesn’t need to be importing a scandal that could get ugly for Trump.
So Tricia McLaughlin went begging for a job and got the cold shoulder. The other ‘name’ outlets don’t seem to want her either. They know why Fox has taken a pass and realize giving her a platform keeps her in the news when Team Trump wants her (and her hubby) forgotten. In fact, the DHS Inspector General has launched an investigation into that contract so again it’s easy to see why Fox and other outlets would look at having McLaughlin on the payroll is bound to blow up in their faces.
So what’s ‘poor little Tricia’ to do now? No national news outlet wants her. However her hubby, the aforementioned Yoho is back in Ohio and it looks like wifey is likely to join him:
His firm is working on the Ohio House congressional campaign for former ICE deputy director Madison Sheahan, a longtime Noem loyalist who fled the department prior to Tricia’s resignation.
Vivek Ramaswamy’s Ohio gubernatorial campaign has also hired Yoho’s firm to produce its first commercial, released Thursday, amid the couple’s swirling scandal, the Daily Mail has learned.
Yoho and McLaughlin met initially as staffers on Ramaswamy’s short-lived presidential campaign during the 2024 presidential cycle. The couple celebrated their wedding last summer.
Yep. From a top Cabinet Agency and regular appearances on Fox (practicing for the day she’d have her own gig there), the WH and even trips to Marmaladeggo to Ohio and Ramaswamy isn’t the bargain McLaughlin signed up for. For all the hype Ramaswamy’s political career is done and now so is McLaughlin’s if a gig working for him is what she’s reduced to. She and her P.O.S. hubby deserve worse than humiliation and hopefully at least he will wind up being criminally prosecuted. Then it could get really fun. These are after all Trump people and he might just throw her under the bus to get a better deal from prosecutors. Or she might have more dirt on him to give them. This could make for plenty of popcorn time down the road!
For now I say don’t feel the least bit guilty in looking at that image of Tricia McLaughlin who is wallowing in her fall from ‘grace’, knowing Trump isn’t going to save her. And Fox isn’t waiting with open arms and a multimillion dollar contract. Or anyone else, except dregs like Ramaswamy or no-name state level candidates back in freaking Ohio. Be like me, and enjoy the hell out of her dismay!

so her hubby produced the 220 million dollar noem spots but only got a few hundred thousand? so where did it all go? 220 mil is a major scifi action adventure movie with big stars. the whole thing sounds a bit suspicious. i wonder if noem got paid for starring in the commercials though thay still wouldn’t account for all the money.
